So when you said "frey," did you mean musician Glenn Frey of The Eagles, or did you mean "fray," perhaps? Unless you're a Doctor Who fan and typed that in as shorthand for "Gallifrey." Oh, wait - you being you...well, that was just your usual total fail, and you DID mean "fray." *rolleyes@author*

There's a Glenn Frey song that would make a decent book: http://youtu.be/6Ig5hb8dJUE

Hahaha - I totally remember that song (and video)! Indeed, it really would make for a better book than most of the manuscripts I end up with, lol.

Someone who actually makes edits that improve things and that actually make sense (barring the occasional minor typo)?! I might faint from the shock of seeing signs of competence in one of my authors. :P

Honestly, is it THAT hard to go look at your file names and type what's actually there? As opposed to entering imaginary, non-existent numbers and/or names that make me want to punch a wall until my fists bleed.

Let's just say that I am now dealing with the umpteenth author who can't manage to do something THAT simple (alternatively, you could just copy the damned file name and paste it in...). I am now reduced to look at all the pictures and GUESSING at which picture I'm supposed to stick in Chapter 24. *glares at author*

EDITED COMMENT #2 (belongs up there after the first comment - yes, I saw typos :P ): These idiots only entered some of their footnotes using the correct steps. Somewhere along the way they got lazy and decided to just stop doing it. Instead, they incorrectly typed the numbers up manually in the main text and applied superscript to create their stupid little pretend footnotes. Then they lazily stuffed in the footnote text into a previous (and correctly entered) footnote's box.

Hey, buddy, if your poorly written short stories (I picked apart three different things on the first page of the first story alone that annoyed the hell out of me) are already estimated to run to 384 pages (don't know how this will turn out right now), maybe you shouldn't write entire PARAGRAPHS for each story on your TOC. *seethe*

A wacko author that I loathe at this point has finally approved print and is out of my life at last!!!! She's the one who had 200 edits and effectively said "oops, sorry - just deal with it" when she SHOULD have mentioned this way beforehand, taken a copy of the proof back, done the edits herself, and submitted it for a reblock instead of yanking my chain for the ten millionth time.

My antipathy towards this woman started somewhere around the time when she b----ed about the hyphenation and nearly demanded that it all be removed/manually altered. Disaster was averted after I painstakingly proved that ALL the automatic hyphenation was completely standard and normal by linking actual dictionary entries showing that the syllabic breakdown was entirely correct. Idiot authors...

...because the author just can't seem to learn how to actually type what's there in the proof OR how to make corrections without completely failing at them! Well, it's more money for me because she had to pay hourly; however, I would have REALLY preferred it if this author had finally learned to follow instructions (aka typing the actual words that are in the book instead of omitting things or making stuff up).
