i don't think there's much difference between playing a character of a different sexuality, as opposed to playing one of a different gender. Long as the game is good, I'm willing to play.

Well, I'm stuck playing as male characters all the time - doesn't really bother me, and I wouldn't have a problem with a gay protagonist either.

Exactly. If the character is LGBT, that's not what makes or breaks the game. It's a shame that a LGBT protagonist hasn't been featured in a game. Maybe Telltale will give it a go. As wildly successful as The Walking Dead Game franchise is, I could see it happening and being well accepted there.

Congress is passing a tax law that specifically exempts "violent videogame" developers from a tax break. Don't worry though, gun manufacturers, outsourcers, pmc's, and telcom monopolies will still get all their tax breaks.

This is typical vote pandering, honestly. Make it seem like you are saving the soul of America and you'll get the scared white folks vote. Actively protecting them from real threats such gun violence, rapid deterioration of the job base and privacy concerns and they don't even notice.
