Your brain prioritises data from your mouth regarding what temperature you are. That doesn't change how you FEEL directly, but it governs how it deals with your cooling system, basically. If you are making your mouth cold, your brain will help you retain your heat. If your mouth is warm, your brain will help you release your warmth.
