Well, GotG is just lots more fun than Avenger so that helped. It also has surprisingly powerful emotional scenes from time to time and a great OST. It's like Riddick meets Star Wars meets Firefly.

It feels too cliched in the "Oh, Humanity killed Earth or whatever" crap every Sci-Fi movie apparently has to reinforce.
I don't think it'll compare to the gravitas 2001 had.

Disregarding the obvious bioware games. Dragons dogma, saints row 2,3,4 , fallout 3/NV, oblivion, skyrim. That's all I can think of right now.

Unfortunately, that was pretty much what I could think of too. I'll try and give Dragon's Dogma a second go but my custom character looks terrible. I may end up using a predetermined one. =(
