Inquisitor Recon
- How many times must I kick the asses of the nobles in England before they stop trying to reduce the crown's authority every time the old king dies?

You'll just have to make them pay a price, each time an old king dies, execute a few more nobles than you did the last time for their disloyalty.

Kaiser Arian XVII
^ And you will be ruling bunch of underage counts and dukes (for executing all the adults).

Executing a few nobles will just ****** off the rest of your vassals even more.

You might face justice someday, if there is such a thing, and if it's unlucky enough to find you.

Caine's Law, an SF/F book by Matthew Stover. It's the fourth in a series hallmarked by humor, philosophy, and some of the best-written action I've ever seen. The first book, Heroes Die, is considered by many industry observers to have helped start the modern construction of the SF/F antiheroic protagonist.

Nice. Wish I could claim to do any foundational fiction reading, but now adays most of my private-time reading are decidedly non-fictional (and, alas, non-historic). Role playing games are, sadly enough, one of my biggest sources of reading fiction.

Sounds very interesting. I'm pretty much in the same boat with Dean_the_Young; I actually just got started on Gibson's Neuromancer, giving you an idea of how far behind I am on this stuff.

“heavily tattooed women can be said to control and subvert the ever-present 'male gaze' by forcing men (and women) to look at their bodies in a manner that exerts control.”

Then again, so can lipstick, nail polish and just a touch of the right perfume. A little white dress and a little mascara goes a long ways as well.
