@Hannibal: Well, I guess this is a really late response, but I just THOUGHT I might end up being axed after some slightly impolitic commentary in two of my e-mails. Shortly after my two semi-angry e-mails, I got a remarkable string of days completely without work. I figured either I'd been maybe fired because I usually don't get even remotely THAT many days off in a row - lol.
