Tarot Redhand

It's a dual boot machine. I have one 500gb hdd for XP, one 500gb for win7 and a shared 2tb for data. All with loads of space. The win7 one was the oldest bought at the end of April. Those 3 replaced 2 360gb drives (5 years old both bought at same time). The dead drive suffered a catastrophic outbreak of bad sectors.

Sorry for your loss, but I'm happy to know I'm not alone. Lost 3 myself in the past 9 months. All Seagate Barracudas (2 750GB, 1 1.5TB). Needless to say they will not be replaced with Seagates when I get around to finishing my new build. All my gaming stuff is on SVN so I suffered no losses there, but the wife was highly upset with me when I told her about all our pictures, videos, music and movies.
