It's just a normal 360 HDD. I have been told a lot of conflicting information about whether data can be recovered.

If you are soloing on giant/reactor/ghost, you can do away with the scanner... Scanner is lot better on smaller maps (glacier, jade etc) and on maps where it's easy to get flanked (goddess, etc). Just my thoughts, though I am pretty sure you know it :)
Give it a try with AC...

Also, what enemy are you fighting? I find cerberus targets to be the easiest in general because atlases are stupid and move slowly. And most importantly, there are no scumbag primes on cerberus w10 to stunlock you...

I've gotten to 10 vs all enemies this week lol. Been doing reactor, giant, white and ghost. I'll give it a go with AC when I get some more equipment. I agree, about the Cerberus wave 10.. but still banshees surrounding you and a slow moving Atlas behind another Atlas on White suck :/ Oh well, it it wasn't hard, we wouldn't be doing it!
