Thank you for that. I'm wholly uncomfortable with this rush to defend Charlie Hebdo as a free speech issue. I abhor the killing of those people, that goes without saying. But it doesn't follow that I'm okay with what Hebdo was doing. Hate speech isn't satire.

As for the NAACP, no kidding. I've been muttering about the utter lack of coverage of that for several days now. As*holes couldn't be more obvious in their refusal to address it. Bah.

I follow one of the Anonymous group's twitter accounts - that's how I got wind of the NAACP thing. I imagine it's one of very few channels reporting some of that stuff.

I saw an article explaining why not to be Charlie Hebdo, and it was bombarded with accusations of ignorance, at best. Somehow it makes me think of the gamergate thing that went on these past few months.
