Most books I read are about 300-400 pages and it takes me a couple days. Is that fast??? I like good vampire books... my favourite book is Dracula :)

I think that for the average reader that's relatively fast. Me, I can zip through a book like that in one day if I have a couple of hours free - lol. Anyway, I think Cronin's series is more science-oriented than supernatural (the vampires ultimately being the result of scientists screwing around with things). His novels are definitely longer than 400 pages, so yeah, the first one alone should probably tide you over.
