is headdesking over this author trying to change a perfectly good (and correct) verb "distance" to the adjective "distant" (which is 100% incorrect).

Can't people just leave well enough alone? I actually had to just write a bullet point about why the author is wrong and why I'm not going to do this ridiculous edit. I just hope that the author actually understands what the words "verb" and "adjective" mean - otherwise, I might have to whip out a grammar book and/or a dictionary. *grinds teeth*
