I undo my deletion and try to convert the table to text (which SHOULD have worked), only to find that I got a great big nothing when I did so. In the end, I had to copy and paste the whole thing from Word into InDesign and lost all the font styles, which then had to manually be reapplied (extra work, extra time *glares at author*).

If so, maybe there's an upside to having to deal with stupid authors!

@puddi: Only if I'm getting paid hourly - which may not apply in this case. I don't know - have to see what my superior has to say about this situation.
