1) I get an author who - instead of typing the existing text in the box for existing text- only types "OP ERROR" (and the errors are actually ALL her fault based on one item that I looked at). Sorry, but I'm supposed to find the existing text...by searching for your correction...which doesn't exist in the proof (you know, because it's NEW replacement text for the OLD text that you didn't enter)?

And 2) One of my previous idiot authors just submitted post-pub edits indicating that there are ELEVEN pages of duplicate material to remove now. Sorry, but...why did you approve the third galley without reading your f---ing book and making sure that that didn't happen? It's not my job to read your boring book for you and catch things like that (especially not when you were already driving me bat---- insane).

Actually, I should add in my third reason: 3) I am covering for Michelle and am temporarily stuck with some nutjob author who is EXACTLY like one of my past authors who was a giant pain in the butt (I really, REALLY hated that woman because despite my plethora of examples every round, she kept f---ing up the edits and complaining later). I was just supposed to revise three items, and today I hear that she suddenly has 114 edits - which I might be stuck with.
