punches this author in the face for somehow managing to enter the wrong sentence on the wrong page 178 pages away from the actual page and the actual sentence he meant to change.

Okay, so this idiot basically can't type accurate text in, so he enters this sentence from - I swear to God - book page 8. The edit said it was on book page 186, but I found the sentence (and it's completely DIFFERENT from the one he apparently intended to change - like 100% different) on book page 8. In such cases, the natural assumption is that the author just entered the wrong page number.

Based on some back and forth with the AR over this mess (and a subsequent change - one in which he yet again managed to screw the existing text up by entering THREE imaginary, non-existent words), I just realized that the idiot author misled me into replacing the wrong sentence the first time around. Now I need to find out if the original sentence has to be restored, along with fixing the OTHER stupid mistake that he made.

I'm furious because I kept finding other errors and had to recreate the final print files four separate times yesterday (or EIGHT times since the HB was a different size, and I had to edit it separately once I moved things to the server). Stupid people like this author are why I'm such an angry book designer.
