is a bit surprised to be working on a manuscript by a news anchor (an actual, legitimate news anchor on a CBS-affiliated station in Chicago).

I then googled, and I actually found the exact same photo in the cover images folder that was used in an article about the author. The article was from 2013 and apparently confirmed that he was staying on at the Chicago affiliate as a news anchor (what he's done since 2013, I have no idea). I'm just going to say that he's not hard on the eyes, and that if I were in Chicago, I wouldn't mind watching the news on his channel.

So far, the work seems professional enough. It definitely beats that horror-show manuscript about Liachi, a protagonist who is officially the dumbest and most improbable lawyer on the planet (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you can refer to my extended synopsis/snark-fest about yesterday's manuscript in my feed). Speaking of which, yesterday's manuscript makes me wish Suits was on - it's about a law firm and has clever dialogue, witty characters, and good acting.

Now you could argue that this season was, perhaps, a bit muddled and was too much about Harvey's childhood issues surfacing vis-a-vis the Donna situation, but eh, even with what's going on now, it's still ten billion times better than yesterday's manuscript. Now that Harvey has mostly worked that stuff out, I hope we get back to Mike's current situation.
