UPDATE: Oh, it looks like Liachi and her BF got married at some point since the BF was referred to as her husband. Whatever - It's still a terminally stupid plot development with a medically and scientifically impossible "cure" that makes me want to smack the author upside her dumb head; as someone who once majored in biology and who still likes science a lot, I find it semi-unforgivable. :P
