doesn't know whether or not she should laugh or cry over this: someone missed an important note, so the Endnotes Guy never should have been assigned to me in the first place.

Apparently, they knew that there were issues with the endnotes in the author's file and that there was some note floating around that stated that it was ONLY to be formatted in Word (definitely not InDesign - I am InDesign-exclusive, FYI). *siiiiiiiiiigh*

So the whole situation with me spending an excessive amount of time on bad endnotes, etc. was completely unavoidable. At least I don't have to manually renumber 789 endnotes and 789 endnote reference numbers now - the title got reassigned (thank God).
