is now headdesking over this author who can't write yet somehow believes that adding MORE atrociously written paragraphs will somehow make her story better.

@spork: I'm sure that you're a cut above the authors I get stuck with - your sentences actually make sense and are readable, which I can't say about this loopy author and her loopy book about Miranda (and for anyone reading this, sorry, this isn't about Mass Effect Miranda :P ). There are SOME writers who self-publish that have talent or aren't horrible - it's just that this author is a bit more typical of what I've had to put up with lately.

Case in point: Andy Weir self-published The Martian initially, yet it was a really good novel with a great main character and later got picked up by Crown Publishing. It basically turned into a giant hit and was made into a movie, which was also a hit. Speaking of The Martian, I finally picked up the blu-ray since I'm a fan of the book, and the movie was surprisingly awesome as well! Thank you so much for not sucking when making the movie, Ridley Scott!

First, thank you :) I try. Second, agreed on The Martian being a fantastic movie, and I did not know that about its origins, so thanks for that too.
