It may be so. I spent part of the day researching the Finnish Goddess Mielikki. While I couldn't find the snake reference you mention the parallels with Artemis are apparent. Her brother Apollo being a god of medicine and his connection with the Rod of Asclepius. An ancient syncretic manifestation, maybe. Either way, you got me thinking about Artemis and Iphigenia and the problem with Polyxena at this point in the development of the living mythic tale.

Was the dream recent? Saturn is in the sign of Ophiuchus (a serpent bearer) near the star Sabik.
