I7 is the way to go, AMD while good are mostly budget cpu's that's cheaper and can rival i7 only in certain programs but generally even I5 is more than a match for any AMD cpu due to their better architecture, higher core clocks on AMD is misleading will not give any difference in games quite the contrary so I7 all the way.
