I just found out via diagnostics that this laptop I use for my computer, being a decade old and slim on specs at release, literally possesses 0 VRAM. There isn't even an integrated chip, nor does DirectX make mention of any actual divergence from the RAM for graphics. I know it technically has to be happening to some crazy limited extent or I wouldn't have a display, but still. Amazing.
