No it wasn't written well enough.... the story was just too big to be that intimate. And they should have hired me (or another lesbian writer) to write Sera. Giving it to a young male writer was just a fail.

I can't comment on the lesbian thing as this is the first time I haven't been comfortable matching my characters up with Sera/Josephine. I also can't really give any counters to the writer of Sera.

I'm conflicted about the story overall. Some parts worked really well, while others didn't seem to have the same impact. I have a feeling that it may be related to the general pacing of the story, but I could be wrong.
