I loved my 2nd viewing of the series. You see things from a much different context the 2nd time around.

I'll probably finish it this weekend, I'll make a post to let you know how it is. I do know that the story won't be ending with the 2nd season though. As far as I can tell the manga, which is the source material for the show, is still ongoing, so I don't expect anything too ground breaking from the end of the season, but will see.

yeah, but the bad part was that the show stomped on my feelings without even seeming to notice, like they were accidentally and unconsciously doing it, which made it ten times worse

well one of the reasons that i have decided to start with the anime is pretty much what you said: that in a lot of cases the manga/novel goes farther than the anime. either because the anime wasn't popular enough, or it just hasn't caught up yet. that way I can experience the show and still have the thrill of reading some of the material for the first time
I will! I'm planning on watching the first season of all three, and then finishing up maria since chihayafuru/planet...

hmm the Japanese language series is 4 classes long, so it will be a while before i'm adept, and my first class wont be until fall semester... but yes! I am so psyched for this!

Only a few weeks until the DVD/Blu-ray comes out. Its worth the wait to see it in proper HD.
