Soldier Shepard on Tali's Haestrom mission. Bonus power is Energy Drain, rarely use Adrenaline Rush, no combat pausing required, squad power activation and orders are through Q and E keys.

Nice use of the Evi, good to see non-vanguard classes using a shotgun effectively. Energy Drain is also amazing on Geth missions since it turns everything into a shield battery.

edit: Now that I think about it energy drain is even more powerful defensively on insanity than I thought. Since there seems to be a delay between taking health damage after your shields go down. If you constantly refill your shields you will get that delay more often.

I don't think it adds to your total shields, but I'm not 100% sure.

Pretty positive it only caps your shields if you'd be going over.

I've been meaning to restart, and I decided to run through with Energy Drain as my Bonus Power thanks to this video. I'm surprised by how aggressive I was knowing that I had Energy Drain to use in a tight spot. Of course, now that I'm done with Freedom's Progress, it won't see as much use, but I was still surprised at how much knowing I had it changed my play-style.

I'm not to sure but have noticed that if i check the squad meun after using it my total shields do seem to go up by however much damage energy drain does

My adepts take energy drain, 'cos it's nice vs shields.

Not sure I'd take it on any other class, though. It's plenty powerful, I just like taking Barrier so I can glow blue in conversations.

Yes, that's really what I use it for.

Man, awesome vids! I've already taken ED as my bonus power for this mission (haven't played it yet) and it was good to see my choice confirmed! Considering how many shielded enemies there are on Insanity, it's a really valid bonus power.

Energy drain does indeed add to your maximum shields. I've seen Tali running around with 600+ shields after she zapped a group of blue suns.

That happened to me once. I almost hit the 1000 mark but now I can't seem to do it anymore. I think ED is a bit glitched to tell the truth.

I think most people use the Sentinel this way now.

So you have squad powers on or do you just have Q and E also use overload? Also, is that the storm speed leggings? I can't really tell since I haven't stared at the differences between em and I usually use the life one.

GSB>Barrier>Fortification
GSB adds weapon damage and has tech cooldown modifier
Barrier has biotic cooldown
Fortification is stuck at 12 sec(?)
