You could view the presentation of Krogan in ME2 as humanizing them. There needs to be counter arguments to the fact to what Mordin says about Krogan brutality and primitiveness. It's harder to feel sorry for Vorcha versus the Krogan, for example. If all the Krogan were murdering idiots who only care about themselves, the genophage choice may have not have been so grey shaded.

It would be funny if they tried to humanize the Vorcha next game, though...

Shisk: BWAAA! YOU TELL GAVORN WE STILL NO FALL FOR TRICKS!

[Paragon Interrupt - Hug]

Shisk: What? How did you know all I needed was a hug? I was looking for one all this time, even yelling at people to get it! I wasn't very articulate before but... You understand me!

:police:

Considering everything we know about Vorcha's adaptive capabilities, it does make one wonder how they would "evolve" if someone, um, found it in their heart to treat those hideous monsters well.

Roleplaying EDI = Flawless grammar, unbiased opinion, arguments based on facts and evidence

Well, no one's a perfect roleplayer. I actually try to argue against myself before posting, just to see both sides.:innocent:

If I'm wrong on some topic, I'll apologize to that person. The same goes if I say an insult that was uncalled for.

Oh, I apologize if you thought that was a critique of your roleplaying skills or decorum. I just felt my throat get a tad dry as I read "unbiased opinion". It's a recurring problem I have when seeing oxymorons. I should really have a doctor take a look at it; get's me into all kinds of trouble.

Ah, that phrase does sound a little weird now that you point it out...

I guess there's no truly unbiased opinion, but like I said - I try to argue with myself before I post in a conversation that ought to require it. That way, I don't end up to the extremes of either side, repeating the same point over and over.

I've been labeled a hypocrite for that, but all I'm trying to do is find some compromise instead of polarizing the debate even further. The latter sounds a lot like American politics these days, and one side will always feel unjustifiably wronged at the end.

Phallacy of modern scientific thought. Knowledge is not the mean of extreme views. The truth can only be deduced from observation and not gross conceptialization. So, arguing with yourself isn't helping the topic but constricting it's possible outcomes.

But it's not your fault. They built you from Reaper technology, so their control freak nature was probably inherited.

Freudian slip on the first word.

You're correct - you don't get facts from averaging people's viewpoints. However, you can see each viewpoint much more clearly. It's not so much about sharing only knowledge, but being more receptive to someone's opinion even when it completely contradicts yours.

On this forum and in real-life, when we try to speculate on the future, on someone's (or BioWare's) intentions, on issues that deal with ethics, morals and values, or things that cannot be explained through the science alone, we have to rely on beliefs and/or opinions. It's hard to extract the cold truth from, say, the actual purpose of humanity, or how the government (or BioWare!) should approach a hot topic issue - if we could simply prove someone wrong, we would have stopped discussing these things a long time ago instead of seeing it brought up over and over again.

In the end, even science doesn't "prove" anything (nor does it provide 100% truth), but it can come pretty close to it with enough work.

Ya when it comes to the Krogan, the real EDI would probably say something along the lines of "Seamless improvements were made."

/thread.

It's only a Freudian slip if done unintentionally.

Hello, headbutter#2. Why don't you let headbutter#1 handle speculating on what EDI would say. She has more practice playing the part.

Did anyone else immediately go 'Hold on a sec?!' when you ran into Mr. Thax's assistant? I had that encounter and was like 'that's the most well-mannered Krogan I've seen.' But it didn't seem to make him friendlier, it just made him kind of scary.

I somehow imagine him as a lethally clever hitman or 'fixer' for this Mr. Thax.

He'd probably make a good ambassador for the Krogan if they ever decided they need one again.

Honestly? I thought the opposite. If Mr. Thax was able to make a Krogan act polite, he must be one scary mother ****er.

I think every Krogan should see murder as a viable option, like the Krogan scientist.

The krogans give the impression of being strong until they're broken (either by harsh treatment at the hands of their captors or love for an asari)

I wonder how much it takes to traumatize (or seduce) a Krogan like that. Judging by Patriarch's retelling of the events, Aria T'Loak basically beat him within an inch of his life and then let him live only to treat him like a battered, aging housewife.

Poor Patriarch...:crying:

But that's 10,000 credits a piece, and 40,000 for a full set!

Sure they might be worthless as implants but they would sure make for a nice mantle piece

EDIT: That's it, next DLC pack I want Patriarchs balls on my desk.  Next to the damaged helmet and Sphere I haven't gotten yet.

Why is this guy lambasting the girl roleplaying EDI? He's even worse than the dudes who complain about the oversaturation of Tali-related threads infesting the boards when they usually just keep to their own stupidly long thread. Leave people alone.
