I have in my other items inventory gems and minerals (malachite) which I do not know the use for. The rune and ale/gift I understand but no info on the others.
Can you clue me in?

By the time you unlock all friendships (elves dwarves mages humans), emissaries will come to your camp.
You can help them with the "war effort" wich is deferent for all races.
Gems are for the dwarves (the more you give, the more they send soldiers for the final battle).
