No it's not that at all, the thing is what you just said up there about your convos with Miranda being deeper, that's pure B.S. You just totally made that up. In fact you have the option of making out with Miranda before there's any of this so called "deep conversation".

The only relationship I can think of in the game that's not just all about sex is if you go with Jack. Hell it even earns you nice guy Paragon points. Lawl. It's also funny as hell if you break up with her.

They're all pretty lusty... Garrus is a pretty casual love interest as well, and Thane seems pretty serious in his intent.

You got to know Tali through two games, became friends with her. Miranda consistantly treats you more like a teammate and less like a friend, even when you do romance her. So, I don't see your side of the argument, aside from your preference for Miranda.

Miranda, Jacob and Thane are definitely Lust interests. Just look at the romance scenes. Miranda wants to have sex someplace kinky. Jacob's all suave and playboy, very shallow. Thane's got the pity element, screw him before he dies and the romance scene revolves around that.

Garrus, Tali and Jack...all awkward..all emotional. No lust there, just butterflies. And you don't get butterflies from lust.

Garrus a 'casual' love intrest? Try rejecting him, and see the devestation! (can't actually bring my Shep to do it, because it is so brutal!)

His is my fave relationship in the game, but its way the deepest of the three guy options. Jacob is a sleazy sex pest ("the priiize" ), Thane is into you, but only because you remind him of his dead wife, who he has perfect memory of at all times, brings up in most of your conversations, and gives you the same pet name as - which is kinda way creepy. Garrus and Shepard have a relationship based on mutual respect, trust and friendship. It's not even about the sex for him, as much as being with the one person he is closest to in the galaxy. He even says Shep is the only thing going right in his life, and he's walking into hell right by her. And the awkwardness, and the nerves, and the awful, awful sex music...

She completes him.

Posters can all fight all day about it, but in the end, ALL the relationships are pretty shallow, and you have to use your imagination to make them mean something. It all depends upon which characters strike a meaning with you.

Your kidding me right. Tali says right to Shepard she wants his skin on hers. Ya thats not lusty. Miri never says anything along that line. Jacob and Tali are the worse. Tali's is just creepy, and speak for your self about butterflies. Why won't people just expect (including Tali fans) that some people perfer other romances and the only real lust romance is Jacob, thats it. Thane has tears for crying out loud, if you pick the right dialog for Miri you would see it's not about love. Having re-did Garrus it's not causal. Jack like Thane breaks down, tho it's more intense with Jack. Tali's romance dialog is creepy and theres many lines like Jacob that sound more like lust.

Tali fans don't want to admit it, Talis romance was very bad. It could have been very good like Garrus but it was not. Jacob and Talis romances where rubbish in my mind.

I think the "depth" of the relationships probably depends on how you interpret a lot of things, plus what dialogs you skip or choose.

For example,  I don't  agree with classifying Thane's relationship with Shep as "lust" ...Jacob even says "I love you", though somehow I don't think my Shep bought it.   Far as the ladies, I'm inclined to think that there's a similar range of emotion there.  Maybe you don't see it b/c the lines rang hollow for you, or you were too busy staring at digital body parts to care.  

As a lady, well, nothing to stare at with Garrus, Jacob's proportions are...disturbing, and Thane has the sex appeal of Kermit the Frog.   (And Kermit was a hit with the ladies:wub:, just ask Miss Piggy).  Which is to say, I had no problem playing through all the variations, just to see what happens.

You said it yourself - he's your favorite, so of course you are going to feel this way. That's fine. I'm glad the character struck such a chord with you! I love Garrus, too.

Me and other people all over the forum have argued why Thane doesn't see his dead wife in Shepard, so I'll just leave it that I don't agree with you.
