Anyway, Tali has been in a suit all her life. Wanting to feel her skin against yours is literally the most intimate thing she can ever experience with another person. It might seem like lust if a human says it, but put it into context.

Thane's just milking his disease. I'm willing to bet he'll end up being fine in ME3 and Femsheps will have this awkward "WTF?" moment. They certainly deserve it after the Jeirt nonsense.

Oh Thane is faking it could be true  and alot of people will be pissed. The Thane fans would not be happy if Bioware pulls that.

I think that a large part of the reason Jack latches onto Shep so strongly because she is damaged - she is a deeply scarred woman with the emotional maturity of a child. Best to not cheat on her, because she would either be suicidal or homicidal. In a game, it's romantic, but it's another situation like Thane - not enjoyable in real life.



Jack is very much like a childhood friend of mine, hits a bit close to home.

Huh? Elevator rides, scenematics and such? Lots of character insight spread throughout the game.

It's kind of funny, half of the romance denials are 'not in the mood for sex' (Miranda, Thane, Jacob), while the other ones are 100% dumped city (Garrus, Tali, Jack).

Garrus a 'casual' love intrest? Try rejecting him, and see the devestation! (can't actually bring my Shep to do it, because it is so brutal!)

His is my fave relationship in the game, but its way the deepest of the three guy options. Jacob is a sleazy sex pest ("the priiize" ), Thane is into you, but only because you remind him of his dead wife, who he has perfect memory of at all times, brings up in most of your conversations, and gives you the same pet name as - which is kinda way creepy. Garrus and Shepard have a relationship based on mutual respect, trust and friendship. It's not even about the sex for him, as much as being with the one person he is closest to in the galaxy. He even says Shep is the only thing going right in his life, and he's walking into hell right by her. And the awkwardness, and the nerves, and the awful, awful sex music...

She completes him.

You said it yourself - he's your favorite, so of course you are going to feel this way. That's fine. I'm glad the character struck such a chord with you! I love Garrus, too.

Me and other people all over the forum have argued why Thane doesn't see his dead wife in Shepard, so I'll just leave it that I don't agree with you.

Thats fair enough. Each to their own. It's just, when you reject him, Thane really doesn't seem very bothered. Garrus sounds like he doesn't want to live. lol
Interesting question....are certain relationships our faves because of the character involved, or are those characters our faves because of how those relationships progess....? Or is it a combinatin of the two? (A lot of these threads seem to degenerate into people saying 'You only think that because you are biased!!!' etc.. And we all are. And don't thnk I'm directing this at you, cos I know that;s not what you meant, but threads like this get me thinking. lol)

I take it most of us can agree that Jacob is a shallow relationship, not really in it for 'love'? (unless Shep has tricked him into thinking he his, by constantly saying 'no', as taught to her by the stellar book 'Of course you're still single, take a look at yourself you dumb ****'. )

Seriously, though, if you want to lol at sex rejection, reject Jacob. If you want to cry, and feel hella guilty, reject Garrus.

That was between Tali and a party mate, not Shepard. When Shepard talks to Tali she just feeds him information. Theres no hint at all.

Janeym27 - I know what you mean. I think it has a lot to do with what kinds of stories and characters the players like. We are all biased, and that's why Bioware gives us so many choices. It's the classic dating sim scenario. It's not a bad thing to see people get so devoted - that just means Bioware did their job well!

I don't mind Thane's response. I just interpreted it as he was just trying not to be selfish and understand Shepard's wishes.

And poor Garrus...another romantic thing that is horrible in real life - someone wanting to die because you reject them... This game is so full of bad relationships! Thane included.

Well he doesn't say he wants to die, but he's pretty obviously humiliated and depressed.  I think that's a pretty natural reaction to getting shot down by somebody you care about.
