Maybe this is your problem?
According to the wiki:
"Note: MSSQL Express 2005 is bundled with this toolset and is required for it to function. Unfortunately, MSSQL Express 2005's installer has a limitation that prevents it from installing to a directory path that's longer than 58 characters."
So, if your install path for the Dragon Age is longer than 58 characters, then you would have a problem.

Nope, is at D:\\Dragon Age

What I realised is that the MSXML6 setup fails while installing. Tried to download one, but system doesn't allow me with the message "you already have a newer version"

Anyway, keeps crashing when finishing the SQL server setup with an exception

It sounds like the toolset uses the older version of SQL server, just like it uses Python 2.5 for lighting. You may have to uninstall the SQL server entirely and download/install the older version to make the toolset work. Worth a try.

you will need to uninstall the version of MSXML6 that is on your pc, and download the newest one available listed from MS. If it doesnt want to let you uninstall it, then you need to get an uninstaller program from microsoft, i think it is called msciiu2 or something like that. Then that program likely wont run properly because of a script issue, so you will need to find the Windows Script for WinXP/2000, install that, then install the msciiu program, then uninstall msxml6, then install the newest one, and then once all of that is done and you install the toolset, it will likely give you a new MSSQL error that i have been unable to get past.

Good luck!

No. I had the same problem. go here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 download the windows installer CleanUp utility and install it. once you have, open it and scroll down the list untill you see MSXML6 and its version. select it and click 'remove'. re-install toolset. there you go! ;)

Will LionFranco's solution of uninstalling MSXML6 and reinstalling the tooset resolve this problem? My error message is:

"The SQL Server System Configuration Checker cannot be executed due to the WMI configuration on the machine. Error: 21477466132.

Thanks.

Zaknaberrnon's solution worked perfectly for me, easy as 1, 2, 3.

Can we get that posted somewhere more accessible?
