hey fellas this is my first guide on this board I often came on here when I startedand now that I'm experienced in this game I wanna share my builds with you.First is a dw warrior build I used this on my main character and it's my favourite.Remeber that this isn't a step by step guide I wanna leave you room and give informations so everyone can build his dw warrior the way he wants

Skills
Momentum is a key skill to this build I'd recommend getting it ASAP you can actually get it on lvl 3 if you pump dex early but that's up to you.Once you have that you can get whirlwind which is another key talent if you go with 2 fullsize weapons along with 2-weapon-sweep.Sooner or later you want to fill the whole dw tree.Another thing if you wanna go with 2 fullsize weapons focus on getting dual weapon mastery ASAP which means on lvl 12.You need to have a dex score of 36 by then.Besides filling the dw tree the top warrior line should be your focus I'd get mighty on lvl 1 already and later get death blow as a dw warrior needs a lot of stamina and death blow regains a bit of your stamina everytime you kill an enemy. If you got points to spend left begin to fill the second warrior line

Specilisations
Now to the specs for a dw warrior every spec has its advantages so I'm gonna list everyone and then you can decide yourself
Berserker:This is the best spec for a dw warrior in my mind a buff that increases your damage greatly (up to 10 points I think)and adds a bonus to health regen and a bonus to nature resistance. The last talent of the line final blow can do a lot of damage but you need your stamina for your other active talents so I'd say just take the first 3 talents
Champion:With this you get a nice group buff which increases attack and defense which even stacks if yoused multiple times and an AoE knockdown.A nice spec with great skills which can be used in almost every situation
Templar:This spec can make your dw warrior relly godlike as maybe even more important than the talents itself it allows you to wear the knight commanders plate which combined with other stuff can give you spell immunity. That way you can just run into the battle and kill everything without having to worry about mages. The talents are also not too bad but they are all a bit situational
Reaver:This spec is kinda like a split path. Some say it's great some say avoid it.I my self used it a few times but am not too keen on it.With reaver you get a talent which allows you to heal yourself using the corpses around you which will be a lot since you're always in the center of combat.Frightening Appearance allows you to stun a single target for some time aswell as increase the aggro you draw with taunt and threaten. This talent even works on oghres and some bosses like the corrupted spider queen.Aura of Pain and blood frenzy are also nice but if you don't pay attention you will die REALLY FAST.Decide yourself if you wanna try reaver or not
now for those who have awakening
Spirit Warrior:This spec can make your dw warrior a walking god.You get a buff that increases your chance to dodge attacks, gives spell resistance, changes all your damage to spirit damage which ignores opponents armor and increases your attack-and movement speed.Take it you won't regret it
Guardian:Not for a dw warrior give this to your tank

Attributes
now here you have 2 ways to go either a str build with 2 fullsize weapons or a dex build with dual daggers. On console take the str build as dex is broken. So here is how to set your attributes
Fullsize
max str
36 dex(50 in awakening)
base will(or about 20 if you want more)
base mag
16 cun(for master coercion)
base con
with daggers go for just enough str to wear massive or heavy armor and take max dex

Gear
Now finally to your gear the best armor for fullsize weapons is the warden commander set or evon the greats mail with wades superior drangonscale gloves and boots. Then the helm of honnleath, spellward, andruils blessing, harvest festival ring and key to the city. The best swords in the game are starfang, keening blade, marics blade, duncans sword and topsiders honor take any 2 you want. For axes veshialle and bloodline and for daggers roses thorn and either duncans dagger, dead thaig shanker or thorn of the dead gods(t6 version)
in Awakening you get vigilance, dumats spine, daisy cutter, velvet's voice and a lot more

so I hope this guide helps you please comment and tell what could be better if you know something

Your kinda back and forth on features that are for Origins or for Awakening.

ill add in my personal experince. Berserker will annoy you, it turns off at the end of every fight and has a long cooldown timer. If you like to rush through stuff with no "down time" you may want to try something else.

Spirit Warrior....your milage may vary, this will burn through your Stamina exceptionaly quickly.

I personaly found Reaver/Champion/Templar to be effective. Warcry helps alot and Reaver talents can really pay off (the heals saved me alot and intimidate is awesome)

Like I said, your milage may vary. It really boils down to our own personal style of play.

One point you neglected to mention though and I think its well deserving. Proper enchants.

Hopefully your duel wielding 2 weapons with 3 enchant slots. I very highly suggest each weapon to have one slot thats the best paralyse rune you can find(The stun even works on bosses normaly immune to stuns, I chain stuned the High dragon with these) This of course is easier in Awakening due to runeccrafting.

In awkening your other availible slots should be intensity runes, each one will boost your crit chance by 5% and your crit damage by +20%

Armor slots wise I was fond of the -5% fatigue runes so that your abilitys cost less to use. As a warrior you actualy have some good advantages for gear. I was fond of a -25% I think fatigue necklace that was warrior only.

Anyways like I said mileage will vary. Just have fun and enjoy yourself playing

Good guide! Very similar build to the one I run with, though I did a dual DW/Archer build (for the lulz). I actually re-spec'd into just being a Spirit Warrior and still plowed through Awakening like a death machine. In the original campaign I went Berserker/Templar. I do admit the cooldown is annoying.

As a query, does anyoen know if the Masterpiece and Paragon Paralyse runes still only have a 5% activation rate? (as such I've found them more useful on dagger/dagger builds than sword/sword).

Thanks for the tips, although not sure if its a bug, but my imported character from Origins now has 4 spec.points? In any case, I've stuck with Beserker thanks to a mod that allows you to keep it running all the time, but it was really annoying every time it switched off before then :)

the second tree in DW is completely useless for a DW warrior.  You don't crit with dual wielding up and you never have enough stamina to use riposte or cripple anyway.

I'm a fan of the champion/reaver/spirit warrior build.  The extra damage you get from beserker only happens 50% of the time anyway because of the auto off out of combat and a DW warrior's natural playstyle tendency to be run in weapons blazing and ask questions later.

Even on nightmare all my DW warrior used was Wade's superior dragonbane or Cailain's Breastplate and he never had much of a problem with mages.  Taking templar just to wear knight's plate isn't necessary and utterly redundant.  Rally and warcry are worth it, frightening appearance and devour are worth it and fade burst is definitely worth it.  AoE damage in awakenings from a DW warrior is just silly.  I almost never used dual weapon sweep or whirlwind in Awakenings simply because fade burst and massacre typically killed everything anyway.  Which kind of annoyed me to be honest.  DW warrior was supposed to be the ultimate AoE warrior but in Awakening, bioware made them fairly obsolete.  All you need is fade burst, massacre, and one more AoE talent (which everyone has) and everything is dead anyway.  I ended up respeccing my DW warrior to a 2H warrior in Awakening and my playstyle was exactly the same.  The only difference was my guy looked way cooler with a 2H and the animations were much more fun to watch.

Thats true but theres more then one way to play.  Most Duel wield builds "Rogues and Warriors" ive seen really just use duel striking+momentum and auto attack everything anyways.
Templar is nice not just for the armor and ability to make a spell immune character, cleanse area and the final templar ability are useful in themselves.   Of course if you have another tank in the party who is I dont know Templar+Champion at least you wont have to worry.
Skill wise I suggest focusing on one path, the single target tree or the aoe tree. In the beginging the single targets going to be stronger but later the Aoe is better.
