During my playthrough of Origins, I decided at the end of the Magi Tower to invoke annulment, and Wynne got in my face and had to be put down. But when I got to Amaranthine in Awakening, she was still alive, hanging around outside the Chantry. She wasn't happy to see me, mind you, but why was she still alive?
Does anyone know?
Wynne is still alive?!

Ah yes, those Grey Wardens are indeed annoying. Us Darkspawn are much more civilized.

Okay, so, I take it it was supposed to happen that way and it was some crazy whacky glitch?

seriously the wynne quest was optional, why didnt they carry the decision over? its not like anyone would be missing out on anything big, and would bring over the decision you made.

I'm honestly not sure. I figure the quest you get from her could have been given by any Random Joe NPC hanging outside the Chantry.

So its not a bug? Did they completely neglect the fact that some people might just kill Wynne? Geez.

So....characters killed magically pops up?
I killed Loghain too, will he appear?
I killed Alistair, does he appear?
If I sent Anora to the dungeons, does she appear?

Wow, I thought that was a bug! She lost her head in the game I imported, and she still seemed quite annoyed over the whole incident in Awakenings.

Wynne may still be alive but with that whole meeting about the Libertarians in Nevarra going to split from the Chantry I get the feeling that meeting will end like Uldreds....

Not a bug...
You simply have to accept some things for the sake of gameplay. After all, some of us didn't survive the original story line, yet here we are, wandering around Amaranthine.

True, but it is funny when you clear her head clean off and then she is alive in the "expansion".

Wynne isn't nearly as central to the storyline as the PC, though, especially considering she just gives some random "go give this NPC a message" side-quest.
Your US Warden being alive is something you have to accept if you want to keep playing as him (obviously), but like someone said above, Wynne could have been replaced by any random person and nothing would have been lost. I mean she might as well already be a random person, considering her lack of enthusiasm. "Oh hey, nice to see you again."

I've heard of people surviving for a time after their head has been cut off, but Wynn must be a better healer then we thought! xD

I assume that she is still dead because I didn't see her in my game. There was also no sign of Alistair who was executed. Later my old pal Loghain came to see me and that was happy but short reunion. No bugs for me.
My husband met Alistair and Wynne with his sweet good character, no sign of Loghain with or without his head. No bugs for him either.
