I was just wondering if with this toolset we could create persistent worlds a la Neverwinter Nights,
Can we create persistent worlds?

Uhm....
What would the point of a PW be when you are the only player around?

Dragon Age is a single player, epic adventure only. That's not stopping you from creating your own stories full of plot twists and surprises for others to play and enjoy. It will allow you to make a more focused adventure instead of just making areas and filling them up with monsters for players to level up in.
It's a win-win situation!

Unfortunately, it is not.
:.:Well yes, sorta. For the builder who build for other players...who like singeplayer adventure.
For the ones who want to participate in Roleplaying with others...No, it is a Win lose situation as we have a powerful Editor on hand, but cannot make a world in which we can meet other peoples.
But i think fpr that is DA a singpleayer game, right? And Bioware works on SWTOR too...so...it´s just...ihm..fair..? *twitch*

You can always build with Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2, both toolsets allow such large empty areas full of monsters to be created for multiplayer purposes.

Nice to see you still have a love for PW's

I'm kinda disappointed that there is no multiplayer in the game too...but i would be even happier if i could just get the damned toolset to properly install.

Love?
BioWare went the right direction with Dragon Age in this regard and I'm more than happy to remind folks of that.

Perhaps Bioware will change their mind and uppgrade this with a patch.
I think more people would be intrested owning this game if that was possible, and it would certainly be more creative people working with the toolset.
i like working with NWN2 toolset a lot becouse it can be enjoyed by others in PW worlds, i will problably not work with this toolset if that isnt a possibility.
Well i have my fingers crossed and hope for a change ;-)

its not like they can add multiplayer to a game via a patch or something. That is a fundamental design decision that was made early in the design process when they were developing the engine from the ground up. Including multiplayer would mean reprogramming the entire game engine. I seriously doubt we will ever see that.

We will not see it in DA:O - but it is certainly possible that there will be a different BioWare game set in the same world, which offers MP.
