When I played dragon age I was blown away by the great story, great companion, fantastic dialog, romances, interesting NPC's, etc, when I heard awakening was coming out, I preordered on day one of the preorder day.  However, after actually playing awakening I was massively dissappointed for the resons listed on this forum (specifically for the lack of companion interactions, but everything else as well).  I know the next game I will not be preordering and will wait till I hear the reviews from players before I buy it.  I am just wondering who else will be holding off.

Not me. While the romance garbage was missing Awakening had better environments and fights.  I want the next expansion already :P

After seeing how Bioware handled Mass Effect 2 I knew I'd be better off not wasting money on Awakening.

This is how I feel, yet I'll give bioware one or two more chances to make things right.

It might be that I'm getting older but I didn't see the magic with ME2 and Awakening as okay as they were.

I plan on pre-ordering the minute it is available for pre-order. I am a happy camper. I liked the story, combat, my companions and the conversation system in both DA:O and DA:A. I liked all of the DLC. If you want to label me a fanboy that is fine. I will wear the title proudly. Posted Image

I never preorder any game.

That said, I quite liked Awakening.

I won't pre-order anything after Awakening didn't ship until four days after release, unless there's a pre-order bonus. I had to run out to Best Buy and get a copy, of which there were dozens.

Awakening itself was a fine expansion, the gameplay itself doesn't affect my pre-order gripes.

I will not preorder it, but I will pick it up the day it comes out.

I will still preorder their main releases, but their DLCs and expansions are not worth it.

Awakening is too buggy, right now I am counting how long it takes them to fix most of the unenjoyable bugs.

Awakening was the first game I pre-ordered in my life. Even though I enjoyed it, it was quite disappointing as an effort for my taste. I didn't expect it to be better than Origins, but it should have been on par. Or very close at least. I hope Bioware add a bit more time in development for future releases, the way they did for Origins. People like quick releases but negative feedback is far far worse than an extra 2 months waiting for an expansion.

As for ME2... I don't know what you're talking about, the game was perfect :D I know already that ME3 will be the 2nd game I will be pre-ordering ;)

I have learned my lesson..no more pre-order ..lol besides with digital download I can get it any time, I figure.. if either I want to or its good enough. :)

Where I order from they state that you can't get a refund on a preorder ..so not going to do that from now on..unless I am absolutely positive that what "I THINK" I am getting..is actually what the product is. :)

Nothing at all wrong with being a fan..far as I am concerned. :)

I'm a fan too, but in future a more cautious fan. :D

I'm going to wait and see. If people I know and trust think it delivers good value for the money, then I'll buy it. Otherwise I'll wait until it costs what I'm willing to spend.

Anything related to Dragon Age, expansion, dlc or Dragon Age 2 will be preordered.

Happy with everything thus far, are points and things I'd like fixed/changed, like I mentioned in my own post. But other than that, it's easy one of my favorite games, ever.

Not pre-ordering anything until a working patch for it is out.

For some reason companies think it's alright to release buggy, sub-par, unfinished material nowadays.

(Still love the game though)

Kinda hard to pre-order something they've already released a patch for, which happens after a game is released.

Exactly.
