Heh. Complaints about nonfunctionality or issues have never stopped them before. None of the issues criticised in Origins were remidied for Awakening, for example. Instead, new ones were brought in and other functional things broken.Thunderfudge wrote...
Even if I didn't like Awakenings, people on the forums didn't hold back in critisising so much so that Bioware would be stupid not to fix the majority of these "problems" in the next expansion.
So, who is NOT going to preorder the next expansion or game?

LOL at this:Varenus Luckmann wrote...
I'm not. I want real and actual confirmation that the next expansion is an actual expansion, and not just a souped-up premium module that confines all it's changes to it's own make-believe corner of the game.
A. An expansion *is* a module
b. You're complaining about Awakening taking place in a "make-believe corner of the game" whilst talking about it within the context of a game that is itself make-believe.
But aside from that; Awakening introduces new characters, a new city, a new part of the map - I fail to see what the problem is, it does exactly what an expansion should do... (?)

I won't pre order it. I might not even buy the damned thing.
If I hear that they decided the bring back companions, continuity and romances, then I will buy it. If not, I will rage. A lot.
Honestly, continuity is the only one I don't think they can do without for another release without losing some serious fanbase.
Everything else is ... negotiable - but continuity has to come right after technical playability.

There are more than enough high quality titles, with high quality dlc on the market, the way that Bioware seems to have gone (profit over performance) I truly feel my hard earned money is better spent elsewhere.

Honistly this sounds way too much like a knee-jerk reaction to not liking the expansion. Not suggesting people should pre-order the game as I never pre-order games myself. However your comment strikes me as leaving little room for DA2 to be anything but a extension of the original. What if the next "Dragon Age" game, or whatever it will be called, takes place during the first blight or during a subsequent age? Hard for romances or whatnot to carry over in a real effective manner.
Don't get me wrong I have a couple complaints about the expansion myself, though I couldn't care less about romances. That being said, you are entitled to your opinion, I just have a hard time understanding the view point that leaves no room for something new. I would personally be really interested in DA going more into the past and the potential origins, ha ha get it, of the old gods/archdemons.

I don't intend to get Awakening. But I judge each game seperately and may buy DA2 if it is as good quality and more polished as Origins.

I like Mass Effect2 but Awakenings is garbage. Still, I am hooked and trapped and I'll buy the next extension if any and pray is better. Then I'll buy DA in 2011. 2. 2. Sigh.

After seeing how Bioware handled Mass Effect 2 I knew I'd be better off not wasting money on Awakening.
That's odd. Playing and completing ME2 was what encouraged me to buy Awakening. I wasn't aware ME2 was a bad game, and the reviews and word of mouth don't seem aware either.
