Oh man. Tough choice.
1. Psychonauts
I did play psychonauts and although I can admit to that it is highly underrated, It's hardly the best game made by man?
Although these things are just opinions so...
Now I just need someone with Halo 3 at the top of their list so I have a valid reason for criticizing their no. 1

Ah I hope that wasn't directed at me because I was NOT disrespecting anybody's opinion and certainly not their choice in games (many reflect my own likes) - I was merely stating the game I mose dislike compared to the list I do, see my previous post before Karstedt. Perhaps I should have just started another thread.
That comment was a retort to the ridiculous accusation (by the quoted poster) that my previous post was a disrespectful shot at the opinions of other people.
Yes definitely a ridiculous accusation - thats why I was so annoyed - I liked your retort
Can't say I was lucky enough to have a C64, although I wanted one, ppphht lame non tech parents didnt think a girl would like computers....
Totally forgot about Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max - they were great fun too.

I loved AC1 (though I had to play it in small chunks as non-assassination missions got boring), and so far this game is great. May very well end up in my top 10 list. Red Dead and Fallout: New Vagas will be must haves for me when they come out. Still, the thought of ME3 is what I look forward to most... too bad it could be up to two years away.

HAAAAAA yes I remember the puzzles were pretty daft,
***SPOILER*** getting in disguise by wearing spaghetti on your head as a wig ***SPOILER***
but the dialogue was very endearing.

I originally ranked ME2 at 6 but then found out its got ZERO replay value so its score dropped to #15.
To linear, to shooterish, not enough FINISHED RPG elements to rate any higher.
Great graphics but graphics not everything.

Someone who doesn't hate KotOR 2? How is that possible?
I really never understood all of the hate directed at the game, I wouldn't go so far as to rank it above the first one, but I thought it was still a very good game, up until the very end.
Anyway my list would be:
1) KotOR 1/2
2) ME 1/2
3) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
4) Morrowind/Oblivion
5) Age of Empires 2

ME2
HL2+Eps
Portal
DoW2
SupCom2
Audiosurf.
All time? Dunno, would have to take a break from all contenders to make it fair. KotOR's pretty high up though.

I think these lists are very telling about who ME2 mostly appeals to.
Although a few of you are just plain weird and I think your lists should
be omitted from official record.
And I think you should learn to respect the opinion of the others, or otherwise get you ass kicked out. With a military boot on fire.
Because my statement was clearly identifying individuals and calling their opinions idiotic? You sir, are an idiot. Though I respect your opinion.
Oh, yes, I'm an idiot. So idiot that I clicked on "Report this post" instead of quoting it. Whoops!

1. Dragon Age: According to steam I have played 486 hours of this game since it came out. Do I need to say more?
2. Mass Effect 2: The orginal plus better controls and gameplay, only miss was mineral mining, which thank god for save game editor.
3. Mass Effect: Still remember my first time playing this and it was awsome, but now I can't bring myself to play through it again, with the gunplay and cookie cutter side levels. That and if I hear "I will destroy you!" one more time I might kill someone for real.
4. Neverwinter Nights 1/2: Can't really rate one over the other. Mod community was stronger/ where more mores in 1 than 2, though 2 has some good mods as well. For OC's I prefer NWN 2 cause I could actually replay it. I could not bring myself to replay NWN 1 OC with all its fetching missions. Mask of the Betrayer still ranks as one of my favorite expansions, but Storm of Zehir has to be the weakest.
5. Knights of the Old Rebublic Series: Great, I prefer 2 a bit more in its finished state (yay mods
6. Heroes of Might and Magic II: was one of the first games I played as a kid, and still find time to play it.
7. Portal: Great humor, awsome gameplay. A bit short and lacking cake but otherwise good.
8. Half Life series: Awsome story, wish they would make Episode 3 already.
9. Team Fortress 2: seem to havea a bit of a valave streak here. This game introduced me to online gaming, and I love to team work and humorous characters.
10. Fallout 3: Awsome atmosphere and fun experience. Medocre story but great dlc.
Honorable mentions: Doom 1 and 2, Oblivion, Call of Duty, Civilization series, and Total War

KotOR2 was a great game and really expanded on K1. I do wish LA would have let Obsidian finish it completely of course but what was there was fantastic and told a great story. And the characters were fantastic as was the influence system.
My one complaint with K2 is the feminist fans that demanded a female lead hero for Star Wars. K2 wasnt the story for that, I played both male and female and the male story with Handmaiden to me will always be cannon regardless what 10,000 nerds on wiki say.
Till Lucas himself comments (which he hasnt) nothing in stone far as K2 goes.
I rank K2 higher cause I like ADULT content and K2 was much darker and more Adult feel to it then K1s disney feel. Plus im not a Bastilla fan, Visra and Handmaiden were the perfect love interests and played off each other so well. heh, I remember nerding out when the cut screen of the two argueing over me happened! I loved it (as I loved it in DA:O as well) and it added so much atmosphere to game!

Dawn of War Series - Sci-Fi setting 38k years in the future with horrificly dark undertones.
Dragon Age Series - Dark, awesome game engine.
Total War Series - Original turn-based strategy with realtime combat (If this list was based on time played this series would be first by a 200%+ margin)
Age of Empires, all of them - Considering the lacking story I fully enjoyed playing these, over and over.
Lord of the Realms 2 - For a old and by todays standards crappy game I played this title non stop for a year.
Starcraft - Awesome gameplay, crappy story.
C&C RA2 - Killer story, even better gameplay. Low on my list due to multiplayer issues that were never balanced.
