Next morning I made a walk around the dalish camp, met several people.
Master Varathorn and I were chatting about materials for the wonderful bows the dalish made. I promised him to look for some special wood - ironbark - he discribed me in big detail how it looks so it shouldn't be much effort to find it.

Anthas stopped by and asked me for another favor. He was missing his wife Danyla since a while. Both fought the werewolves and she was injured gravely. The keeper obviously had tried to help her but never said Anthas the truth and his fear was deeply she was a werewolf now.
I promised the try to seek her out during my journey through the forest.
During my walk I saw the wonderful deers - called halla from the dalish.
They allowed the dalish to be her companions, ride and caring for the herd. They also guiding the dalish as well. One was sick - or appeared as such. Elora - the keeper - was very worried about this single one. There was no wound on her and she was about to put the poor thing out if her misery.

As a shapeshifter I had a very fine sense for wild creatures - so I tried simple to calm the halla down. Elora was very pleased and as she stroke over the soft silky fur of the halla she mentioned that this one was troubled about another halla, probably her companion.
Elora was very eased and grateful - I left her with a smile on my lips and for a second I wondered where Zevran was hiding.
Then I bumped in thoughts into the beauty I saw yesterday at Zathrians side.
*Andaran atish'an, Grey Warden. My name is Lanaya and I am Zathrian's first... what you may call an apprentice, perhaps. I have been studying under the the keeper all my life. I am a bit... curious of the outside world. Do you mind if I ask you a question or two ?*

My lips curved in a soft smile I gave her a nod *If you like, go ahead*
So we talked a lot about big cities, the problems between elves and humans and that some of humans surely regret to failures in past.
In the end I asked her about Zathrian, since he was still a cryptical person to me. She told me he had lost his family long time ago, but she don't knew the story behind, only the circumstances were horrific.
I got distracted as I finally spotted Zevran *I should go Lanaya, thanks for the talk*
She dipped her head shortly *As you wish. Dareth siral*
I must tell Zevran all I had found out today and what we should look for in the woods ...

** Zevrans hidden diary **
She waved and flick one of her killer smiles over her shoulder. I had no chance as to follow her to the campfire near her tent.
The thought tickled me to gave her the book - but we were still at dalish campground - better should be tomorrow in the woods. So she had time left before she could confront Zathrian with the details -
I was unsure myself and pretty sure she will be pissed off, probably.
Lady Killersmile - I chuckled inside me - a fitting name for her as I took my place beside her and grab her hand to play with the fingers whilst she was telling me some news.
They will bond her a bit towards the dalish aswell - I think - so good news.
She smelled so good and felt even better this night. She took away all sanity from me - I simple want her complete, all of her. My hands cuffed her wirsts, her teeth sometimes in my shoulder with a feral groan, we loved each other until the climax simply shredded us to pieces.
My breath was ragged - I noticed with some dim part of my brain- and let out a low chuckle.
*Hey you want me to fight probably tomorrow and now I feel like a warm well fed kitten.*
She flashed one of her enchanting smiles towards me, still breathless, too.
*Kitten can bite and scrape - so you aren't defenseless.*
Adorable Grey Warden was my last thought before I felt into a deep sleep.
We made very early our way out of camp. No surprise for me as we got attacked from werewolves, darkspawn and big bears. Could not spoil my good mood - by the crows ass - this last night ...
Licking over my lower lip in thoughts I grinned probably like a big cat which has swallowed a fat juicy mouse.
Alistair raised a brow and watched me - I could see it out of the corners of my eyes - as our walk coming to a sudden stop on a bridge at a waterfall.
Werewolves - but they were speaking to NaChaya. I moved closer to listen.

*hrrrr... the watch-wolves have spoken truly, my brothers and sisters. The Dalish send a human, of all things, to repay us for our attack, to put us in our place. What bitter irony.* growled the beast.
NaChaya narrowed her eyes * I am no servant of the Dalish*
She tried to be calm, offered Swiftrunner, as he claimed it was his name, to talk and she tried to find out more about the curse. My little mage had a lot of balls to talk to this big beasts in front of her in this calm way.
He accused her to know nothing - nothing about the werewolves nor about the one she serves. He growled loudly *Run from the forest while you can. Run to the Dalish and tell them they are doomed.*
Not even a little feet she was going back - I felt somewhat of proud for her.
*I don't want to fight, but neither I can retreat*
Swiftrunner, the big beast, hesitated a moment
* I do not wish to fight you, either, but we cannot trust you.*
He howled and hissed and snarled
*Come, brothers and sisters, let us retreat. The forest has eyes of its own and it will deal with intruders as it always has.*
The small horde left us standing alone at the bridge.
Carefully walking further we got attacked from .... trees !
Oh yes - holy crow - from trees. You have always to learn a lot and I needed a while to figure out how to approach this angry, murderous trees and fight them successfully.
A very big one was in our way and -- I am not insane -- it spoke to us in rhymes.

Morrigan raised both brows and chuckled low
*It ... rhymes? T'is a rhyming tree. One can only imagine what manner of spirit is involved here.*
Mia Loca just stood there with crossed arms and as the Grand Oak asked for a boon she asked for help to find Witherfang.

Seems someone has stolen his acorn - and he promised to give us some from his special magic skin *The forrest would see thee as a tree, and so no harm would come to thee. Willst thou then perform the task? Willst thou save me as I ask?*
NaChaya smiled softly with a dip of her head - she looked divine in the late evening sun, breaking through the roof of the forest with some dark red-golden beams.
*That sounds like a fine reward. Very well, I will help you.*
We made a camp near the rhyming tree - to prepare us for the next steps and go to sleep early.
Time to give mia loca the book... my stomach felt like a huge knot, though.
She kissed me as I crawled on her side, but I held her a little bit away from me.
*My dear warden, I told you I found some little things, did I ?*
She sat up, facing me with raised brows *You did Zevran - tell me what you found, please.*
Without any further word I gave her the small book, told her to start to read at the side the leaf was tucked.
With a quizzically smile she took it and started to read.
No word, no motion or anything I heard from her a long while. She closed the small book carefully, folding her wonderful small hands over it, then her eyes were locked in my face.
Dark, cold Obsidians, without any emotion. No anger, no love, no smile was in her face - like a stone. Her words icy towards me
* Would you go out of my tent now Zevran ? and I mean now ...*
*Let me...*
*NO - no explain yet - just go out.*
Despite my terrible feeling that it was a huge fault to give her the book - I had to admire her. She was looking like a goddess, a dangerous dark goddess, in the dim light of her tent. And I told myself that I never would like to stand on the wrong side and against her.
This woman was like no other I had ever met before ...

(( Sorry for the long delay but I am still sick and I will be away for the next couple of weeks again. I hope you all still enjoy this chapter, though))
*Zevrans hidden diary*
Day 1
Mia Loca was pretty close-mouthed, no gaze, not even a gesture. Her face like carved out of marble, no emotions to see.
Morrigan shrugged off as she simple gave her no answer and Alistair raised his brows as after a - to be honest - clumsy jest she not even gave him a grin.
By the Crow I would like to see behind this stoney face of hers just right now. If she is thinking to kick me out of her bed - I will live with, for sure, no problem. If she orders me to leave ? What then ?
Ah, dear assassin what crude mixtures of thoughts !
Day 2
She safed my sexy ass - oh yes she did - and I own her my life again.
And so do Morrigan and Alistair - but let me tell from the beginning.
We arrived a firepit on our search for Witherfang and the acorn. Mia Loca kneeled before it and tried to examine it closer.

I noticed it was untended for several hours at most - a dalish camp ?
The ember draw me in, I felt dizzy, so I cleared my throat.
*I'm surprised that fire hasn't burnt out. We should tend it ... is there a stick about?* I got so tired and yawned loudly * I am tired...*
She yelled *Stop !!! We need to get away from this, now!*
But I was unable to follow her call, Alistair and Morrigan were already half asleep - so I trudge back to the tent and collapsed into a blissful sleep.

The sudden awake came from fighting noises, lightnings overall, fire and mia Loca in between fighting a spirit... What the ... was all I could thinking before I jumped on my feet to assist her. Alistair and Morrigan looking startled and with sleepy eyes up as the shadow with a last shriek fall to NaChaya's mighty spell. She was bleeding out of several wounds.
I rushed towards her as she hold up her hand - staggering towards of the remnants of the shade's victims. It was like a fog was lifted and Morrigan mumbled *A hungry spirit luring those who pass to their rest ... and their doom. One might wonder how it learned this trick. No matter. It shall prey on no one else anymore. Thank you my friend for saving my life*

One of her rare smiles crossed the witches lips towards NaChaya.
But she don't even pay attention to her.
My dear little magi stared on two skeletons, laying there, obviously in a close, gentle embrace, a dusty book on the side. Wiping the blood out of her face, which was streaming from a wound on her head into her eyes, she kneel down to touch the book. I moved closer to see what so damn fascinating was at old dust - and grow stiff.
The book was open.
I could see the draw, the draw of a girl - the tattoo on her face the same as... I noticed I hold my breath as she carefully tried to take the book from the ground.
Unfortunately it crumbled under her weak, careful touch to dust.
When she started to rose onto her feets, I slid my arm around her waist, drew her up with the care of a man lifting a fragile work of art. *Lean on me mia loca...* I whispered.
Her obsidian eyes showed a horrific mixture of panic, pain and hate, but she leaned on me.
Suddenly she whispered with a barely audible voice *I'm sorry - I'm sorry - I think I am on the falling-apart trip now....*
Tears, mixed with blood, streamed down her cheeks as I bear her away, laying her carefully down on a smooth ground of moss.
*It's alright dear little mage* I wiped the tears, blood and filth from her face, took care of her wound and gave the others just a shake from my head to stay away from us.
I laid my hand on her back again to draw her close to me, feeling her shake and knew they'd hit the eye of the emotional storm.
I gathered her in as she turned to me, starting to sob,I let her weep, cradled her in my arms - held her there while the storm raged out.

(( awww .... I feel really touched. So I stole some free moments to write a new chapter. Thank you all for the support and the inspiration <3 Means a lot to me. ))
I wasn't ashamed about my tears, not about tears that needed to be shed.
Not at all, I was grateful as they washed out the worst of bitterness, loss and disappointment, just poured out of my heart - and heck yes - for Zevran's behaviour.
He wasn't the kind if man who offered awkward pats and told a woman not to cry. He offered shelter and let me weep.
As the tears slowed down and the shaking eased, he brushed a light kiss over my temple. *Any better?*
I gave him a long gaze, my heart starts to burn, I felt torn between my disappointment and the feelings toward him. He had should told me about the book immediately... I could not forgive this so easily.
So my voice had a cool touch as I answered *Yes, yes by Andraste I feel better*
He lifted my face until our eyes met *Good, then...* He shifted me carefully beside him *I see in your eyes you aren't willing to say more my dear grey warden, I'll leave you alone. If you need me ...*
When he left me I sat on the moss for a moment, drawing back my reserves. Achingly I got onto my feets.
Morrigan moved over to assist me and stopped as I as hold up my hand.
*Let me make a tea with herbs - something what warms you up, inside and your heart...*
I gave her a thankful nod and catched the glimps of Alistair's face as he turned towards Zevran . They started to speak with eachother, honestly I didn't care about this *Men-Talk*
Morrigan gave me the hot drink and with her usual mocking tune she stated dry * You should replace the water that streamed out of you the last hours - so drink the whole cup*
Rolling with my eyes and the attempf of a faint grin I did what she said and drank the tea in little sips.
I raised my rusty voice *We should go further, no time to waste*
Zevran raised one eyebrow, Alistair nodded *Glad you feel good enough NaChaya*
I couldn't sit around and breed over all the things happened around and with me. All will find his place in time, I thought.
A last gaze to the bones around us, a last goodbye to the remains of my parents - this word sounded even strange in my head
After a short walk some rabid werewolves attacked us - a rescue from my thoughts. One of the werewolves were laying bleeding on the ground and started to speak with a ragged breath.
*P-please... help... listen... I am not... the mindless beats I appear to be...*
*You certainly look like a werewolve to me.*
*I was...not always at you see. I have been cursed, turned into this... this creature.. it burns my blood!* The beast coughed * I ... fled into the forest. The werewolves, they... took me in. But I had to return. I had to!*

Alistair mentioned this could be a trap from the werewolves and I agreed with a nod before I looked back at the wounded beast.
*You are... human. I am ... I was once an elf, one of the Dalish folk. Do you know of my clan?*
My eyes grow wide as I thought back on Athras and his missing wife.
*So- you are a Dalish who has already become a werewolve, then?*
*Yes, just scant days ago. So you know what happened to us.* A bit of hope I could notice in her ragged, tortured voice.
*My name is Danyla. My husband ... he is called Athras. Please, you must... bring him a message. The scarf I wear... bring it to him. Tell him I love him. Tell him... I am dead and with the gods. *
I took the scarf and stored it in my bag *Let me try to heal you so you can go back to your Clan*
*No... I cannot be healed, not even... by magic. Please- I only want him to be at peace. He is... a good man.* She howled and cried out as I gazed Morrigan. She shook her head so I was sure we couldn't do anything for Danyla.
*Ah.. the pain! The curse... is fire in my blood! Please! End it for me! End it quickly!*
It was a desperate cry from a deadly tortured creature, I think I saw tears streaming out of her yellow eyes -
My voice turned into a whisper as I draw Alistairs blade out of his belt
*Very well. I will end your pain*
A swift hard stroke against her throat, another at her heart and she sank to the ground, a mass of blood streamed out of the wounds.
Only stertorously, but clear assuaged whispered words *Gods ... bless you...*
Then she died.

With a low sigh and a hardened face I gave Alistar his sword back.
*We need to stop this - lets find this acorn so we get maybe a bit help for the fight.*
Without paying attention to the others I stepped further, deeper into the forrest.

Nice twist on her parents! And I always feel horrible for Danyla and her husband. I hate killing her though I know it is for the best. YAY for another post! Thanks LadyA!
