Here's the deal: I still have yet to get the Romance achievement. The only character that's gotten far enough to do a Romance was my imported female, and none of the romance options interested me with her.
Now, I'm running through as a Male character so I can romance Tali, and I understand how all of it works. My issue comes because while I want to romance Tali, I also want to take Legion along on her Loyalty mission. If I do Tali's mission after getting the Reaper IFF, can I still trigger the romance when I go through the Omega 4 Relay? Or do I have to have more than one or two conversations to trigger it?

I'm reasonably sure you have enough time (assuming you do 2 missions before the kidnapping), but even if you don't ...
You can finish the romance after the suicide mission (assuming Tali survives it).

Then you have nothing to fear. Just make sure you've spoken to Tali and did the romance conversation and you're all good. Crew will die, but you said you don't care.

I plan on doing all missions except Tali's Loyalty Mission before doing the Reaper IFF mission. Once they're all done, I'll run through the IFF mission, then do Tali and Legion's Loyalty Missions, then go through the relay. In other words, I'll only be doing two missions once the crew gets taken. I'm just worried that the Romance won't trigger.
Also, I wasn't aware you could do the romance after the Suicide Mission, so I should be okay.

You could actually continue romancing after you past the game. I have multiples saves on all the romances I completed. Trick really is that you have to have all your suitors plot points up to that moment where they ask you to decide. Then once you beat the game and are asked to if you want to continue the campaign, say yes (or whatever the continue, I forgot) and commence in some naughty goodness.

Why save Tali's loyalty mission for later? Is there some time limit for doing Reaper IFF I don't know about? I did every mission in my journal, all loyalty missions with a bunch of N7 missions, before going to the Derelict. Didn't see anything to suggest the game would force me to go there before I wanted to.

There's nothing forcing me to do the Reaper IFF. In fact, the last time I did Tali's Loyalty Mission, I did it before the Reaper IFF mission. However, I want to take Legion along on the mission this time, and Legion doesn't join my team until after the Reaper IFF Mission. To take Legion on Tali's mission, I have to wait until after the Reaper IFF mission to do so.

What difficulty you are on? I believed you can do Tali and Legion loyalty mission before crew kidnapping begin. You can do 2 mission after IFF and before Collector raid your ship.

I think the romance scene will kicked in, when you go to collector base. You just missing scene about Tali romance confirmation. The level difficulty just to adjusted how many mission before the crew abduction started.
