@ Wild Still, i'm a girl but i appreciate the sentiment - and yeah Samara meditating away, atleast Morinth uses the available furniture.

There should have been an interrupt option for Garrus after the 3rd/4th calibration speech.

Paragon:"...look Garrus, you've been calibrating all day, can we just chat?" (friendly smile)
Renegade:"...calibrate this you ****ing *****" (pistol whip)

I think Shepard's cabin should be his/her own private space, but that's just me. I do think that maybe afew coversations could've been triggered at the Galaxy Map, or after finished X amount of side missions and entering the Crew Deck or some such.

Maybe Garrus/Tali could chat with Joker on the Bridge, about "the good old days"? It does feel like a bit of a wasted opportunity to inject some life aboard the ship.

Sounds like a great idea in ME3

Especially if your caring over a romance from ME2 because now they live with you in your Cabin.

You would be changing your armor and stuff and all of a sudden the doors would open and there would be your love interest (in my case Tali!)

Then you go up to her and give her a hug, she tells you how she feels, about mission, etc.

Ok there IS one thing that bothers me about the cabin. The way the desk faces it puts your back to the door. That's not a good idea. I just have this thing about my back facing a door. I know you can't actually sit at the desk .. but still.

Have the door locked, and usually the door makes that little sliding open sound that would catch your attention

i'd be worried that Garrus would waltz in while i was flogging the dolphin. Would be awkard, and I don't think its appropriate for subordinate crew mates to "wander into teh captains quarters".

It would give me more reason to go to the cabin. I love the cabin too, it's pretty cool ... just no reason to go there really.

Four reasons to go to the Loft before the end of the game:
1.) Modify or paint Shepard's armor.
2.) Feed the Fish.  Clean the tank if the fish are belly up.
3.) Check on your hamster.  Be amazed the little furball is not dead after EDI opened up the ship to vaccuum.
4.) Listen to music when Shepard is bored looking for resources for his latest science project.

How about not in your cabin per se, but randomly after you leave your cabin and return to the main deck of the normandy you get a scene where Garrus just pops in and asks how your doing (with the appropriate Renegade response: "Can it wait a second Garrus, I'm in the middle of some calibrations", or Jack says that she found some stuff about Cerberus and wants your opinion on it, or Miranda gives you some info on some of your cybernetic upgrades.

Just little tidbit stuff like that, that brings crewmates to you. Again the trigger is you leaving your cabin plus whatever else triggers specific people, or perhaps that too is random.

I think the "invite LI into cabin" was handled poorly.

Instead of having awkward hugging and awkward sitting on lap they could of thrown in an "eating dinner cut-scene", an extra romance scene or something like that.

I wish they'd have put in some more dialogue for that feature. A sort of "so we made it" followup conversation that triggers when you call them up.

Cuddling is good, but it didn't feel real, exactly, since they didn't actually say anything and nothing happened. If it had played out more like a scene I would have liked it.

Something like the Chakwas scene would of been nice, except post game and with your LI.

I like the idea. Visits could always be plot options and if you miss something on one play-through you might see it in another. Of course Shepard can always tell someone, "Meet me in my cabin in 10." And it goes on from there.

I would have liked for there to be more Star Trek: The Next Generation-style elements, where members of the crew might come to visit the Captain (Shepard, obviously) about some concern or other. For example, when each teammate has their loyalty mission trigger, instead of Kelly using her psychic powers to determine that something is wrong, the teammate in question pays a visit to Shepard's cabin and asks to see her in private, whereupon they talk about their loyalty mission. It would have been a nice way of making the game more immersive, with proactive NPCs that actually do things instead of sitting there until the player addresses them. While this may call for more scripting than some folks might be willing to accept, making the scripts run in a semi-random order depending on certain triggers (e.g., which members have thus far been recruited, or who's loyalty mission has been finished) would definitely add some replayability to the game.

In ME1 when you go to the Citadel for the first time, Captain Anderson is just chilling in the captain's cabin while you watch Joker bring the Normandy into dock. I thought that was a nice touch.

Or some romantic dialog at least.

I approve of this. Bioware should really do this for Mass Effect 3 or even DLC.

In the cabin or not this interaction seems like a good idea. It might help me understand just how Miranda and Jack managed to get into a fight despite Miranda's ass being glued to her chair and Jack's apparent fear of elevators (i.e. never leaving the bottom deck). I still don't get the fight, obviously they disagree about certain experiments but wtf did this come from and why does everyone forget it two seconds later?

Sorry, got a bit off track >.<. Post suicide mission interaction would be nice, especially w/ the LI who still acts as though nothing has happened. Anyway, I agree, more interaction would be great especially with old team mates. Let Garrus move around and calibrate some other stuff like the mess hall or my super toilet ._.'

So?  Does the word 'space' make the hamster a mutant?  Ahh...the Dev's forgot to paint an S on the hamster's chest.  Meep doesn't have a cape either.   Maybe he'll get that in an upcoming DLC...

Look, Shepard has every right to be amazed at Meep's survival.  Being exposed to space himself, Shepard was in a comma for two years while the Lazarus Project (Four Billion Credits worth) put Shepard back together.  I see Shepard's time with Meep as therapy.

Oh, yeah. That would've been great.

That talk with Chakwas alone really transformed her character to me. Really brought her into focus.

On my first playthrough, I invited my LI up to my cabin after the finale. Then, looking around, I saw that the bed had an option, so I clicked.

Then we were snuggling on the bed and "press 'F' to continue" came up on the screen.

Was I the only one who thought this would lead to a second romantic encounter?

I think it would be pretty cute to have your LI give you some gifts too....or at least feed your damn fish.
