If he ends up in your fish tank, your going to have to feed him or else he will go belly up. X(

Something like the Chakwas scene would of been nice, except post game and with your LI.
Oh, yeah. That would've been great.
That talk with Chakwas alone really transformed her character to me. Really brought her into focus.
Thirded. This was actually one of my favourite parts in ME2; I finally felt like I could make a connection with a character. Little things like this add a lot of atmosphere and emotion. They make me happy!
I think ME3 could just benefit from more character interaction in general. It wasn't great in ME1, there was even less of it in ME2... I know ME is trying to cater to the shooter crowd (which is fine), but I want more role playing in my role playing game, dammit. The 'VS' scenes between characters, like Jack and Miranda, seemed completely pointless; there was no build up to it, no reason for it, and all my Shep had to do was charm them into shutting up and that was that. No repercussions, no further discussion.
I was looking forward to arguments.

It'd be nice to have characters approach Shepard for once. They are living, breathing people (in-game anyway) who move around and do things after all.

Yeah, lotta hype with the shooter crowd, but for me Bioware games are defined by their deep and rich character writing and story experience, NOT their gameplay combat.
Couldn't agree more about the desire for more interactions! I wanted more arguments too, so badly - I know that's weird, but I did.

However, I do wish you could explode the ship, and find your crew talking to someone. Sure it's something you might miss, but that would be an element that'd encourage exploring the ship more, and yet be something the player can miss yet not hurt the experience. Example, Ken and Gabby talking about Tali behind her back, or the poker game with them.
EDIT: Just a thought, how about visiting them, and find them chatting with someone over the radio? Example, finding Tali working at her work station, talking to Garrus over the radio. Kind of like how Hackett and Presley were talking to eachother in the first game.

"Take a seat, Garrus. Why are you always, always calibrating?"

Use the intercom to call people up to your room for a talk, that way it's player initiated.

Garrus: Umm... because they really, really need calibrating?................... Umm, can I leave now? I really need to start calibrating those guns, and you're starting to scare me -
Shepard: No.

I wouldn't mind that, but it is hard to do random on a computer. In fact, it's impossible. So what would intigate a visit?

I lol'ed. You'd be stuck inside until Garrus finished. Which would be never.Wild Still wrote...
Grunt would break all my ship models, Tali would overclock my clock, Garrus would calibrate the damned door, Thane would cry on stuff and Samara might mistake me for family and murder me in my sleep. Entry by invitation only!

1. Let them stay and speak their mind
or
2. Tell them to gtfo.
Simple as that.

It was actually quite annoying to hear from Kelly that such&such person wans to talk to me in their (!) quarters. What am I? A captain or a fraking therapist? They should request permision to talk to me, and then come to my cabin, whenever I will deem fit, and stand at attantion in front of me and report, while I'm sipping Coke in a relaxed pose on my sofa.
This as well

And where do these people watch vids? On little handheld screens?
How come nobody is communicating with anyone off the ship? Either personnel or family.

Though now I've picked up the sphere-thing I've got some understandable paranoia about letting Jack back in Shepard's quarters. I mean, she has one bad dream and the Normandy turns into the bloody Event Horizon...

Oh great now I got an image of Shep tearing out his eyes while husks of the crew run rampant
