I wanted to invite the Krogan from the presidium up to my cabin and tell him all my fish were from the lakes on the presidium.

If he ends up in your fish tank, your going to have to feed him or else he will go belly up. X(

Something like the Chakwas scene would of been nice, except post game and with your LI.

Oh, yeah. That would've been great.

That talk with Chakwas alone really transformed her character to me. Really brought her into focus.

Thirded. This was actually one of my favourite parts in ME2; I finally felt like I could make a connection with a character. Little things like this add a lot of atmosphere and emotion. They make me happy!

I think ME3 could just benefit from more character interaction in general. It wasn't great in ME1, there was even less of it in ME2... I know ME is trying to cater to the shooter crowd (which is fine), but I want more role playing in my role playing game, dammit. The 'VS' scenes between characters, like Jack and Miranda, seemed completely pointless; there was no build up to it, no reason for it, and all my Shep had to do was charm them into shutting up and that was that. No repercussions, no further discussion.

I was looking forward to arguments. :( More non-player triggered events and scenes for the party in ME3! Please.

This is a really good idea and I think it would be great for ME 3. Thought it would have to be done with spice. Nothing more nothing less. Each event would play out according to your dialogue options. Say you did something bad. ONe of your crew mates would come up on board and through your dialogue tree you would make the decision to convince them you where right or if you just want to be a azz. either way I really like this idea. I'm also thinking romance pack. hehe.

I think the party members moving around would be a good thing. It would also set up te possibility for character/character "conflicts" (ie, discussions).

I really love the idea of more romantic dialog with the LI after mission, or at least an extra romantic scene or something. It doesn't have to be big, but just... something. The scene with Chakwas was gold and I wouldn't mind more interactions like that.

It'd be nice to have characters approach Shepard for once. They are living, breathing people (in-game anyway) who move around and do things after all.

Yeah, lotta hype with the shooter crowd, but for me Bioware games are defined by their deep and rich character writing and story experience, NOT their gameplay combat.

Couldn't agree more about the desire for more interactions! I wanted more arguments too, so badly - I know that's weird, but I did.

If you romance Miranda why can't you hang out in her room sometime? She is the only other person with her own private bedroom why can't we make out there some times? Why can't I take Kelly or Tali to the engine room? Or better yet to the cargo hold. Maybe take the LI and get some action in the Hammerhead. Come on Bioware give me some options here...

I don't think them going to your room would work, because you're never in your room (unless it's a costume change, feeding your fish, or cuddling your LI.) It'd only work if they forced a cutscene after a mission, where Shepard is in his room and visited. The problem with that is that you're forcing character development onto the player, instead the other way around, where it's optional, and at the player's own pace.

However, I do wish you could explode the ship, and find your crew talking to someone. Sure it's something you might miss, but that would be an element that'd encourage exploring the ship more, and yet be something the player can miss yet not hurt the experience. Example, Ken and Gabby talking about Tali behind her back, or the poker game with them.

EDIT: Just a thought, how about visiting them, and find them chatting with someone over the radio? Example, finding Tali working at her work station, talking to Garrus over the radio. Kind of like how Hackett and Presley were talking to eachother in the first game.

I was just saying that like after certain missions they could come and knock on your door and talk to you. I think with all this talk about romance expansions i was just thinking on how it would play out. I mean you romanced them before the suicide mission, but after that its just...blank, nothing, or aka "press F or A to continue" depending on whether you have the game on pc or xbox.

Use the intercom to call people up to your room for a talk, that way it's player initiated.

"Take a seat, Garrus. Why are you always, always calibrating?"

Garrus: Umm... because they really, really need calibrating?................... Umm, can I leave now? I really need to start calibrating those guns, and you're starting to scare me -

Shepard: No.

I wouldn't mind that, but it is hard to do random on a computer. In fact, it's impossible. So what would intigate a visit?

Grunt would break all my ship models, Tali would overclock my clock, Garrus would calibrate the damned door, Thane would cry on stuff and Samara might mistake me for family and murder me in my sleep. Entry by invitation only!

I lol'ed. You'd be stuck inside until Garrus finished. Which would be never.

It was actually quite annoying to hear from Kelly that such&such person wans to talk to me in their (!) quarters. What am I? A captain or a fraking therapist? They should request permision to talk to me, and then come to my cabin, whenever I will deem fit, and stand at attantion in front of me and report, while I'm sipping Coke in a relaxed pose on my sofa.

Well yeah, it would let you choose whether or not you want them in your cabin. And if they happened to be waiting for you in your cabin, you have the option to either:

1. Let them stay and speak their mind

or

2. Tell them to gtfo.

Simple as that.

This would be a great idea to implement in ME3. I think there are a lot of different ways Bioware could go about it and make it work. I think someone mentioned something similar to the way special dialogue was triggered in Dragon Age, which would seem to be very doable seeing as they've technically already done it!

Just make the Normandy Lounge with the captain's champagne room in the back.

And where do these people watch vids? On little handheld screens?

How come nobody is communicating with anyone off the ship? Either personnel or family.

Nice idea. I can get behind this.

Though now I've picked up the sphere-thing I've got some understandable paranoia about letting Jack back in Shepard's quarters. I mean, she has one bad dream and the Normandy turns into the bloody Event Horizon...
