I've killed all three deserters but somehow ended up with only 2 guild supplies - might be that I missed looting one of the corpses since they don't become lootable until a while after combat. Now though I cannot turn the quest in since it requires 3 guild supplies - is there any way I can get myself a third one?

Got the exact same problem. Its the only quest I haven't done yet.

Well lootable corpses don't disappear for a while. Try going back to the locations and seeing if you can get them.

Yeah, the third guy in Frostback Mountains, the Guild Supplies won't show up for me on his corpse. Either there's no loot, or the loot that is there doesn't include 'em. Bug.

where is the guy thats located in the frostback mountains??? i went to haven and the ruined temple and the mtn top and still can not find him

That's because he's not in any of those spots.

He's in the Frostback Mountains Pass.  The area right outside Orzammar.

I had that problem, the guy in Frostback took a lot of time till his corpse became lootable. I had to go to camp and then return to frostback and only then could I get the supplies.
