...I feel like the only one in love with the Cryo powers ._. I wish there was a class that would have both Cryo Ammo AND blast. I'd have so much fun with that.

Any ability that doesn't effect armor/shield/biotic and isn't crowd control.



Fort/GethShield/Barrier get my vote cuz at least the other abilities increase something. The best "Shield" ability in the game is an Infiltrator's Cloak.

There is one issue with this although it is really small and probably doesn't matter.  You have to raise your omni tool to use medigel which can sometimes be hard to do if you are being shot and stunned where as the shield powers happen instantly without an animation.  So if you don't use bonus powers to begin with 1 point in the shield powers can be useful in certain situations where it would be impossible to use medigel.  It isn't going to be a game changer but it is sometimes better than medigel simply because you can use it without an animation.

Heavy inferno also CCs people with defenses, and does a good job stripping shields.

Against many foes at once.

Slam is the worsest biotic ability imo.Just because it doesnt have an area version.
The best use is for a vanguard that dont want to unlock pull with putting points in shockwave for husk killing.Thats it.
Complete junk to be honest.

If by useless you mean Reave and Warp being two of the best powers in the game on Insanity then yes they are "useless".

Shredder ammo, fort, nueral shock are pretty much next to useless on any difficulty.

on squad mates-tali's combat drone "30 SECOND COOLDOWN...WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

oh and cryo blast/ammo is awsome, blast is pull but slightly not as good while still being more fun (cryo freeze Jedore just as she kneels [in a away you would bow to a king] from shots to the leg and then shoot her in the head with a widow sniper rifle at point blank range, and then tell me that cryo isnt worth itPosted Image

crippling slam is awesome. its basically just like bastion stasis. i love it on my infiltrator.

The majority of enemies have more health than any other form of protection so pull throw and singulairty are all great at setting up warp explosions, crowd controlling, or just killing stuff.  Warp is best when you can explode it and the only way to do that is to combine it with other biotics.  Pull throw, and singularity all stop stuff from shooitng at you which is another big plus.  Singularity works on all enimes regardless of protection so that gives it even bigger bonuses.

Biotics aren't useless its just that a lot of people don't figure out how to use them

Cryo blast is useless. Neural shock is better. Its cooldown is half as long and the stun is instant. Against synthetics, use overload, which also works on shields.

Plus I can spam neural shock and barely use any other abilities except for Incinerate and overload to take away defenses. Then hit them with neural shock and line up a headshot with my Carnifex. Keep in mind that this was on Veteran

You can do the same thing with cryo blast on insanity but instead of head shots you melee everything. Use incinerate and overload to strip defenses then freeze a group and go melee them.

Theoretically yes. But in practice armor peircing or even warp ammo would be preferable.

On paper shredder looks good +80% against organic health?? sick! However, this boost is only for the health of organics. if you have the element zero to change bonus powers for every other mission then i say more power to you but where AP ammo lacks 10% damage (and warp ammo 20%) this is made up for by the bonus you get against armor and synthetic health (and for warp ammo also against barriers).

As for thane its more varriable. its nice when squaddies have their own ammo if nobody has squad ammo but for some builds which rely on a squad ammo (like squad cryo) the overwrite is a nuissance (i personally dont mind because i have squad powers on manual but that point is still missed by throw field)

Also I keep pull on my vanguard for areas where i feel like playing more defencively. wear down defences and pull to incapacitate. the cooldown is so short it almost isn't even there.

enemies certainly dont have more health then other forms of protection on higher difficulties. its usually shields/barrier along with health, not to mention elites with armor as well.

biotics arent hard to figure out. there hard to use becasue of enemy protections. with all the protections on higher difficulties, biotics (CC abilities) become pointless.
