Even worse on an infiltrator. Every time you look through the scope...*shudders*.


I hate the slow motion through the scope, I wish it wasn't there at all, and it does sound pretty goofy when the audio slows too.  None of this is as bad as the sniper auto aim though which I nominate for the worst "power" (I know it's not really a power) in the game.  You're on the collector ship. You have a nice harbinger head shot lined up, you scope the gun, and now, somehow, you're looking at the scion.  There is a portion of Garrus' loyalty mission in the last room when there are lokis coming at you and blue suns up on the crates but every time you try to scope one of the suns you end up locked onto a mech.   One time in Jack's mission I was trying to snipe the shield generators but every time I scoped the gun I was locked onto a blue sun on the floor.  I finally got so pissed off I cained the whole room and ended the level.  Who came up with this idea?

I like reave on my vanguard (it's a nice range biotic power... and good on insanity). I don't like shockwave (unless you are playing on Veteran or lower.... but who does that now anywase?!?!?!). I usually give squad ammo powers to any squad member who has it (especially Jack and Zaeed... squad warp ammo is great on Illium and squad disruptor ammo is great for fighting geth). When I'm playing an Adept I prefer to use Grunt's (he's a beast) squad incendiary ammo.

i like slam. especially crippling slam. you guys know crippling slam leaves an opponent on the ground for 8 seconds tho right? crippling slam is basically bastion stasis from ME1 and thats definitely not a bad thing.

Neural shock works for 12 seconds...

For my play style, Shockwave doesn't really work well. I like biotics, so I tend to be drawn to those powers, and Warp, Singularity, Reave, Pull and Throw are all awesome, but Shockwave just doesn't seem to work as well. Often I throw out a Shockwave and the enemies have dodged it by the time it gets to them. I know when enemies try to use Shockwave on me, I usually dodge it easily. I think it would be a lot better if you couldn't see where it was going to end up.



I hardly ever use ammo powers, I know they have their uses, but I always forget about them. Tech powers are okay, but I really only use Overload on a regular basis (but I haven't played as an Engineer, Sentinel or Infiltrator yet).

inferno grenade is only very powerful to Zaeed. I don't know why. it doesn't seem to have upgrade option at all.

Most useless ones have to be shield/barrier/armor boosters, not only do they take too long, get ripped to shreds in instants and don't give your character the respective protection boost...

Then probably Shredder ammo.

Shredder is just so bad. I would give up that 10 additional damage points any day just to be able to hurt Synthetics... oh wait AP Ammo.

Eh Shockwave has its uses but not that great overall and Shredder Ammo absolutely ... I hate it when Thane insists to use it over Squad Cryo Ammo.

Well, after reading all your posts I realised that I should give Cryo Ammo/Blast one more shot. And I gotta say it is more useful than I thought, especially on the harder difficulties. The only thing that is pissing me off right now is when certain squad mates decide to use their own ammo powers.



I have to agree now that the various shield powers with exception of the Sentinel's Tech Armour are the most useless powers, but that's mostly because of the long recharge time.

i love cryo blast. I had mordin with me on my soldier insanity playtrhough, and its awesome to strip a guy or 2 and just freeze them all for double dmg/cc

All the shield skills and shredder ammo are right answers.



Anyone who says AI hacking, dominate or cryoblast is wrong, they are all 1 point wonders that can be extremely useful for little investment.

I got quite annoyed at Dominte during the suicide mission. Mowing down yet another wave with the last collector being dominated and... "ASSUMING CONTROL"

Shredder and the unlockable defensive boosts. Not even funny how bad these are.

Only played for 2/3 of a speed run so far, but I think the soldier's Concussive Shot deserve an honorable mention. The cooldown on this thing absolutely annihilate Adrenaline Rush, which is the whole point of playing as a soldier...

MOST useless.. concussive shot is decent/good for insta killing husks, or slamming people off a bridge, so in comparison to plenty skills its not half bad



alot of skill are good/useless depending on what class you get them on offcourse(when its a bonus power)... Shredder ammo is still sucky on anything but normal tho... and maybe even on normal

I meant for Soldier Shep.

Fun skill for squad members. Not exactly good, but it's fun to watch enemies get knocked back without you bothering to micro-manage your squad.
