Has there been any word at all about a PS3 patch or something to fix issues with the game? I've completed them both now but with all the bugs it became more a chore and less a pleasure getting to the final battle.

I am after a few talks with EA about bugs is Awakening; I cannot play because of the immortality, transparencies of my characters etc. - unfortunately their replies are completely idiotic, completely not connected with my questions... It ended with the fact that I am fighting over the money back. About the patch I also got no answer - so it won't be...

I sure as hell hope there is going to be one. If everyone feels the same about this as me there will be a huge fall in the purchase of all future bioware products. Shame because the game had so much potential.

Patch please, soon. No threats, not gonna boycott. Just would like to enjoy the very good game BioWare made for me.

I will say that I completely enjoyed the story and the gameplay of my first play-through of Awakening. However, I want to play again with my Human warrior and really want to be able to fully enjoy the Sentinel Armor and Vigilance sword. Also, I didn't encounter any game-ending bugs (just minor glitching and a few side quests that couldn't be finished), but the existence of so many bugs really makes me leery of another play through being so smooth. I just want a date or an approximation or any indication that there will even be a patch.

Thanks!

Yes, Patch needed. I'm currently finishing up my fourth Origins playthrough, with my human female rogue. On my second Awakening playthrough, I'd found the two obtainable pieces of the Blackblade armor, and I REALLY want that sexy black leather for my Rogue. Alas, it will not come to pass unless there is a patch to make the High Dragon lootable.

Really, both games are excellent, and I certainly look forward to any continuations of the Dragon Age saga, but these bugs really need to be addressed. At least half the value of both Dragon Age games has been the replay value. . . doing things in different ways, approaching the world from a different perspective, and I would hate to see a few bugs ruin the near-endless enjoyment from such fantastically told stories. In other words, don't think that just because most of us have already played through the game once, a patch isn't needed or wanted. In fact, I daresay a patch would cause most people to start a new playthrough.

I can't access Anders' companion quest. The game doesn't recognize the warehouse i need to go to. Its displayed on the map, but once i get to the warehouse door i don't have an icon telling me to get inside. Also, as i near the door, the frame rate slows down and Anders starts talking (more like replying to me as if i were standing in front of him pressing the X button to talk to him) but as if i were trying to talk to him.

A patch would cause me to actually start playing Awakening again. Mainly because my favorite PC is my Male Human Noble Rogue. For me it was a perfect build, only problem, to end that perfect build with the new talents and items and what not, I need those Blackblade boots and gloves! Where's our patch?!

I don't think the initial couple posts were referring to a boycott so much as decline in sales due to quality. People don't like glitchy games and people know Bioware has the capability to fix their errors. Not fixing these problems would most likely result in people waiting to buy their next product until a review had come out and may not if they hear about glitches. Twilight Princess had a glitch that could get you stuck for the rest of the game, but it was uncommon enough that it didn't effect people. Having multiple glitches that don't make the game impossible that occur regularly make people more cautious. Quantity of errors just seems to hint at laziness while making the game. Awakening just doesn't seem to have been tested thoroughly and most likely should have been delayed to help consumers feel confident in the company's products.

I'm not too upset by the glitches, but I'll certainly be more cautious before buying a new product especially if it's part of a new universe made by Bioware. It's just disappointing that they let these errors get past.

hmm... i too noticed my charakter cant die but it was simply because i started awakening with my imported level 24 noble hume warrior which has simply to much power for the entire game coz if you start as new warden you start with level 18 so 24 for the start is way overpowered i guess

BUT when i fought a certain oger enemy he took my char in the air and smashed him a few times with his fist leaving my main char with less then the half of his healthbar so means hes not immortal but just got to many skillpoints in strength and so on

is your immortality probably the same cause? or does your mainchar really dont loose any healthpoints at all? even on nightmare mode?

I haven't had this problem, but some people have reported not being able to die even when removing all their equipment and going into battle naked.

Exactly - my character running naked on nightmare level and nobody can kill him...

I assumed that my character's near invincibility was because I had the game on casual. It was the same on normal and hard too. Perhaps darkspawn are just no longer a threat to The Commander of The Grey. The Armoured Ogre was a bit of a challenge, but I'd have thought it would be much more difficult to beat. Maybe Bioware need to re-think the scaling engine for the game whilst they're at it. I agree that run of the mill darkspawn shouldn't pose a problem to such powerful wardens. I also think Bioware need to look at the continuity issues with the opening and closing sequences of the game. I had that darkspawn messenger from The Architect executed, but in the closing titles he was happily doing good deeds and spreading the darkspawn taint across Ferelden.

I look past the bugs although ive beat awakening 6times and Origins 13times rough numbers

on ps3 the load times get hefty and the autosaves lag the game when your in combat the textures actually change a bit if you load and autosave and cast to much spells ect ps3 verson has good graphics but has way more potential but to all ps3 owners if the frame rate drops quit the game and reload it works everytime thats the only annoying thing i can think of that really pleagues the ps3 thats very annoying xbox360 has it the worst haha

You'd think that with all the reports of bugs on every system, that someone would actually be working on this, and might know something about when they will get it to us. Sadly however in classic BioWare fashion, we hear nothing. Come on, someone please I'm not asking for a patch now, tomorrow or next week. I just want information. How long does it take to type, "We don't give a crap and we're not patching the game," or "We're working on it, we hope to have it patched in four years?"

Im just gonna wait now until either there is a workable patch for the game or DA:O 2 is released. Annoyed as I am I still think the game is awsome. Hopefully next time Bioware will take more time to iron out glitches before releasing an expansion. May check back in a couple of months with fingers crossed.

Bah. I won't be getting DA:O 2 unless Bioware/EA do a quick 180 in how they conduct business. Otherwise, just more of the same B.S. to look forward to. Sounds like they aren't wasting any time rushing the next Dragon Age, which is likely to also be riddled with severe bugs.

Does anyone else get sound bugs at the beginning when you're saving the keep? Also my Armor of the Sentinel set (except for the helm) looks like the Warden Commander Armor Set from Warden's Keep DLC.

every year I buy less and less games. No wonder so many people download pirate games, it's not that they don't want to spend money it's because they don't trust companies giving them thier moneys worth. Dragon Age was my first fantasy RPG and first "nerdy game" *no offence* and I loved it but after spending so much money on RtO and WK for boring content and having a really buggy Awakening I don't know whether I should buy anymore Bioware games. Hopefully a patch comes out soon =(

I so hope they delay DA2. Like really I don't give a fudge if they wait until 2013 to sell it, as long as there are no bugs and very minor glitches. Awakening, as fun as it was, was just disappointing. The bugs kept appearing like pop ups in a non popup blocker internet browser. It was annoying and it really did lower the value of my game. I don't want to play the same thing twice because of a bug that forces me to load an earlier save. I want to play the same thing twice because I choose to play it. So please Bioware don't release DA2 unless there are virtually no bugs.

Agree a patch is needed. And it would be nice if someone official would chime in on the forums.

i guess as long as there're people who enjoyed it and don't mind the bugs, they won't patch it...

resources better spent on a new game...
