Because post-apocalyptic stories are as much about the setting as the plot. I enjoyed Dragon Age, but it didn’t feel dark and gritty 80% of the time.
Should bioware do a post-apocolyptic RPG?

I disagree, Let me explain. Almost anyone can write an apocalypse story. It's not that hard. I've written three of them so I am not speaking from ignorance. Now, don't misunderstand me and think I'm saying that the plot isn't important, it is. However, I feel that having good characters is much more important. If you can develop likable, interesting, and quirky characters the story will write itself.
The characters, that's where the whole thing can be won or lost. Ever read The Stand? That entire story was made from the fact that the characters personalities played a huge part in the scope of things while the plot was kind of convoluted. However, due to the characters I was able to plod through the extremely long book to the end.
