does anyone know how to trigger the dragon hunter random encounter in awakening
i heard that its wher u get the dragonbrand greatswordd

I was traveling from the wending woods back to the keep, when I got this encounter.

was the sword nice looking or the sword just looks like an ordinary greatsword?

The wiki is far from complete yet. I think it's called Dragonbrand (thread title)

You might want to try disabling Warden Keep DLC, in case you have it, and do a Force Load to check if the sword looks the same. Enabled WK sure messes up with Vigilance. No idea about some other swords.

No, Dragonbrand looks like the summer sword, not like Starfang, relax.

As far as I remember, the sword is in some garbage, it might be easy to overlook.

Alright, its not in the garbage, but on a corpse at the beginning of the encounter.

It's just a dead body. A corpse of a dragonhunter, iirc.

I got it going from the Wending Woods to Amaranthine.



byw, I think you're mistaken it doesn't look exactly like the Summer Sword, similar though.

the corpse wasnt dead it was dancing btw:D

I keep getting encounters in the canyon from wending woods to the keep, but they are all bandit and darkspawn attacks Which is a shame, because I got the dragonbrand really easy on other awakening chars
