I have made an official petition for Sega to make a Dreamcast 2. Agreed, means less exclusives you cry about

It means more games in general, the more consoles out the more time it takes for multi-platform releases so more time for games to come out equals less games that get to be completed

But anyways SEGA releasing a console for this generation is stupid. Most gamers are all hyped by PS4 and Xbox720 to pay attention. Plus something tells me such thing could end up as bad in graphics and games as the Wii.

Hey don't get me wrong, the Dreamcast was awesome but Sega is done with the console business.



I won't go so far as to say it will NEVER EVER happen. Who knows, maybe in like 20 years but certainly not anytime soon.

Sega hasn't had a really sucessful system since the Genesis. I think it's best they got out of the game when they did. Last thing I need is a Dreamcast 2, only 5 monthes later seeing advertisements for an add-on system, the Dreamcast 32X or something.

Sega i think are fine with quietly racking in money from the franchises they publish. Total War. Football Manager. Bayonetta/DMC

But sonic? Sonic is less of a franchise and more like the fat kid at school that keeps insisting on playing striker when you play football.

The console market isn't exactly easy to step into these days. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are very large companies with extensive marketing muscle.

The only company I could think of potentially making a successful entry into the console market right now is Apple(yes, I know they tried in 1996 and failed really badly, but Apple has seen a resurgence in popularity due to all their gadgets).

Dreamcast was meh i really like the Saturn my self very under rated system great 2D games but it was the wrong time and every one was nuts for 3D even with it looking like ass on the PS1
