All this talk of SWTOR has got me wondering what happened to that group that was going to restore the ending to KOTOR2.
For anyone who didn't hear of this, there was a whole bunch of dialog for the end of the game on the KOTOR2 disc that got scrapped when Lucasarts made Obsidian shove it out the door before they were finished.
It was originally supposed to be like the suicide mission at the end of Mass Effect 2 where your decisions determined who lived or died (with influence standing in for loyalty).
Did the project fall apart?
Did they finish and it was so substandard and/or buggy that noone ever bothered with it?
Did they finish it, make KOTOR2 as awesome as it should have been, but nobody cared?
Anyone out there know what happened?
What happened to the KOTOR2 fix?

It's down to the original person who started it. It is mostly fixed, but he refuses to release it to the public because he thinks people will steal the fix and clam they made it.

How's the TSL 1.5 'final' version? Do you all think it makes KotOR 2 a worthwhile purchase?

There's nothing really wrong with vanilla KotOR2 until you actively start digging and see what was cut out from it so yeah, it's always been a worthwhile purchase.

The guy that had whatever to do with TSL stuff retracted with his d-baggery and killed the project.
