I've progressed somewhat in the game and currently have the party kickin' it in Denerim.

I started using Zevran in my party in hopes to find out if he ever makes a request or has a quest to offer like the other characters... I am starting to think not? Anyone confirm this? 

Apologies if this has been asked before. The search function does not seem to be, well, functioning. Also just to confrim -- these are the official forums for the game now?

I have the same problem. Does Zevran have a sidequest or not?

there are quests involving the assassins guild that Zevran was part of.

Not that I've found, at least in the traditional sense. If you go through Denerim with Zevran in your party, you will have a "random" encounter with someone trying to kill him. I think that's about it. I'm romancing him and have a very high approval rating, but there has not been a side-quest per se.

Yeah I heard about the crows having some sort of set-up in Denerim so I planned to have Zevran in my party while in Denerim, but not really beyond that. Just want to do as much as possible through my first play through, thank you for your answer.

I encountered that fight, but I didn't have him in my party.

Yeah, Zevran isn't need in the party for it to activate, got it without him as well. Zevran apparently likes stalking the PC since he just conveniently happens to walk in there
