I felt kinda sick in stomach even now after beating the game many times.  You're witnessing a murder right in your face with nothing else distracting you.  Plus that sound after one of them slam the others head into the ground makes it worse.

Morinth deserves to die. I actually wish her death was more...graphic.

The noise was quite, um, graphic, I'll admit. The first time through, I felt a bit of sympathy for Morinth as it really seemed like she'd gotten kind of a bum deal (and Samara's comments were pretty darned cold; I can see why Morinth would resent her), but seeing her reactions if she's the victor cooled me off a bit.

Dramatic, a conclusive end to a tale that only had a single "happy ending" path.

In the end, Samara saved Morinth from herself.

To quell someone who was forced to become a monster, a beautiful death it was.

How could you feel sympathy for Morinth? She knowingly kills people for selfish pleasure and gain. She's basically a serial killer. We can feel sorry for the troubled chilhoods of serial killers in reality, but all we know about Morinth basically comes down to: she's an Ardat-Yakshi and she likes eating brains.

Meh.

First time I did that, I was an adept ... wanted to get into the action with my own biotics.

Never mind what Samara did, I was like "that's lame, Shepard."

I definitely paused at the wheel when it gave the option to kill either Samara or Morinth. I killed Morinth because she' s a monster, but it's because of her genetics. Gotta give Samara some credit for being able to live with herself.

I would have liked to have seen the fight go on a bit longer. It seemed to end far to quickly. Though after Samara had threatened to kill police officers back when I recruited her there was a sick satisfaction hearing that crunching noise when Morinth offed her.

And yet you let the woman who has been murdering for 400 years for her own sick pleasure live? That's some interesting logic  you got there.

Morinth would kill police officers if they hadn't been in her way. Just as long as they're "interesting."

Harkin was a cop, too.

Just 'cos they're police doesn't mean they're not scum.

I felt that Morinth deserved it, taking hope from the woman and life from her daughter. Wouldn't mind taking her out myself but it was necessary for Samara to do it for her own closure.

I'm indifferent either way. They both kind of have it coming. I actually like dominate better as a squaddy power. Even on insanity it's extremely useful.

As compared to letting the person that openly states she'll basically kill a room full of innocent people that "got in her way" because they slowed down her mission?? Samara's whole reason for becoming a Justicar is nothing more than trying to clear her own conscience for being a Evil Demon Making Machine. Atleast Morinth I can control easier. Samara's says in the Renegade option that after the mission she'll kill me once her oath is over.

I think I felt sorry for her because I read the Codex and found out about how it's actually an addiction or compulsion of sorts, and that Ardat-Yakshi seem to struggle with compassion due to their unique condition. Also, and I admit that this is more my personal head-canon than what was outright stated ingame, I saw her as one of those types of vampire characters who does actually value her victims... not that she necessarily regrets killing them, more that she is compelled to kill those she admires and wants. I think it came about because of all that discussion re: a creative spark that draws her in... I could see her being the type who would actually genuinely admire Nef and her personality, consider her a rare and precious gem, but can only truly appreciate that spark in the moment it's snuffed out. Not that that isn't evil in its own way, but it's much more understandable and sympathetic.

Also, as the game points out, she was in a very injust place. Either she had to enter eternal seclusion, or go on the run. Even Samara points out that she was proud of Morinth's refusal to bend to a fate that she had not asked for.

Indifferent as they aren't particularly interesting characters to me.
