*Edited to express the fact that this is OPINIONATED*

Let me start by saying this, I know I'm gonna get flamed for this... And I don't care... I will respond to any serious discussion about whatever I have said. All flamers will be ignored, and you will have wasted that much more of your limited brainspace...

This DLC was, in my opinion, in NO way "fun." It was an extremely boring, extremely linear, waste of time and space on my hard drive...

BW didn't even think to bundle any achievements with this... while Zaeed got an achievement simply for walking up to him and pressing "A"... I believe achievements would not have made these missions better, but at least they'd have a reason to be played....

These missions have nothing to do with anything in the game. They're just tossed in, and on my next playthrough I'll skip right passed them...

As for the handling, I found it awkward... A vehicle should not handle identically to a Human. It makes it feel much less like a vehicle... The Mako fondly reminded me of a Warthog from Halo: CE. It was clunky, but you got used to it. It felt like a vehicle...

Yes, it's free... but I find it to be complete garbage... BW isn't even trying here... There's literally like 50 words of dialogue added, 5 crap missions that take about 4 minutes to complete each... they focused so much on giving the hammerhead good control they neglected everything else consumers/customers/fans look for...

Personally, i'd give this DLC not a 2.5/10. It was obviously rushed, had very very very very little creativity, BW clearly was looking to save money on this so they didn't bring in any voice-actors.... and so I say unto you BW, "Meh..." The only reason I give it such a "high" score for what it is is the fact that it's free...

Free garbage is still garbage... clean, smooth, fancy garbage... yep, still garbage...

Hopefully Kasumi will offer us a bit more...

I swear to GOD BW if Kasumi is recruited by walking up to her and talking to her on Omega i'm trading my ME2 into Gamestop and boycotting not just ME but any and every BW game ever to come... As this will make it very apparent that you have only your wallet's interest in heart, and not the satisfaction of your fans...

Mass Effect 1 gets two pieces of DLC.

Fans complain.

Mass Effect 2 gets tons of DLC and though some aren't great it still adds to the overall experience.

Fans complain.

This is why this site is known for the ****ty fanbase, you all **** about everything.

I just think its ironic you think the handling is awkward because it isn't clunky, when clunky is defined as 'awkward or clumsy'.

QFT.

I mean seriously.  What's the point of getting so upset about the Hammerhead, it's obviously a better mechanic.  It needs a few tweaks, but overall the way it functions is totally superior to the Mako.  Also, we've already surmised the DLC was a test-run to see how the Hammerhead works when the fans use it.

first, i'm 99% sure you didn't even read my post... That said,

At least the ME1 DLC took time and added something to the game. I willingly paid money for it, and wasn't extremely disappointed. Fans complained because Pre-launch BW promised tons of DLC for the ME universe and after 2 years still only had one DLC. That makes BW a LIAR... That, my friend, is why the fans complained...

Now, BW is trying to reconsile their broken word by throwing tons of DLC at us, except it's all 100% useless in every sense of the word. Fans are not complaining about the quantity of content, it's the content of said content. Absolutely nothing we've been given thus far has given us anything to do with anything in the game (with the exception of Zaeed's loyalty mission).

Fans aren't complaining about getting a lot of DLC for free... It's getting a lot of low-quality dlc that is better off left off as it won't be used in-game ever...

Fans would rather wait and pay for DLC that is well-planned, implements a good story into the plot, and offers to expand the ME universe. Not just free crap armor sets and a few missions with a crummy vehicle...

The Hammerhead is where its at! It's way smoother than the Mako, and a lot more fun to drive and in combat. It just needs some tuning like better sheilds and more guns and it would be way better. As far as the missions went, they were actually quite fun and nicley detailed for free dlc.

I think you're confusing the word "I" with the word "fans".  Most people are perfectly happy with smaller, less content heavy DLC for free, especially when there's more than enough reason to think there's be paid-for DLC of a larger nature in addition to it.  And won't be used in-game? As it stands the Arc Projector is possibly the best weapon in the entire game, and the DLC shotgun is my short-range weapon of choice.  The missions themselves for the Hammerhead weren't all that great, but the vehicle itself wasn't bad; especially compared to the Mako, which despite the proponents of the very, very vocal minority, was mostly viewed to blow chunky nutsacks.

You're doing nothing but whining.  Think of how short a time it's been since the game was released, and how much DLC has been put out for it.  Are you honestly going to tell me you expect it as some kind of right for them to have put out a LARGE content DLC for it already?  And on top of that, please, please don't make some stupid claim about how they should be focusing on larger stuff instead of working on smaller pieces.  It's multiple people.  They work on different sections, on plenty of stuff at a time.  You're not getting a large piece delayed because they decided to put in a weapon now.

And for the love of god, stop acting as if it's an insult to you for this stuff to be around.  The vast majority of games don't have any DLC at all, and you're getting pissy over the FREE DLC you get not being good enough for you?  Fine, fine!  It's not good enough for you.  Delete it from your hard drive and just play the base game that you paid for.  At some point, BioWare will probably make something else you can pay for and play and whine about.

You are correct. The mindless worshipers are very prevailent.

I would disagree that the Hammerhead added nothing though. It added close to 30k credits to help buy upgrades. And we also get a little voice log cameo from Manuel, a character I find entertaining and interesting. That all could have been accomplished with about 3/4 of the DLC content cut though, as it is mostly fluff. I'm not really sure what the goal was. It was more like a Hammerhead demo or something. Maybe it will be further integrated into later DLC, but who knows.

Because we were led to believe there would a hell of a lot more. More regularly. Neither one was particularly good value for money. BDtS at least showed a good template for 'land on the planet' type missions, but that whole idea was dropped from ME2 and no more DLC of the same type was ever made.

1 squad member who is barely interactable that comes with 1 (decent!) sidequest, a 5 minute walk around and collect mission. A few armours, a few superfluous guns, and a vechicle that has 5 missions that take only 5 minutes each at most. Hardly 'tons.' Its coming out regularly, sure, but thats it.

PS sucked monkey ballz, but it was fairly well designed. Just a bad design.

BDtS was not particularly related to the plot (that we know about). But it was far superior content to any ME2 DLC. It had a lot of great dialog, a multi stage mission, exploration, introduced a new race to players, and had a pretty damn good ending. Shooter first fans will not be impressed of course, because none of those qualities matter to them.

Zaeed's mission, while certainly a more developed shooter romp, was hardly more than another side mission. And not a terribly impactful one either. If going the paragon route would have sacrificed loyalty, at least there would have been something thought worthy about it.

What we're getting right now is much better and I'm amazed you think otherwise.

Better how? And if that amazes you... well, you must be easily amazed. How does it feel to go through life in a constant state of amazement? Did you know that some people can not only tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi, but actually prefer one to the other! Did I blow your mind?
